It was good, but not great.
Pros:

The best thing about this hotel is the view. It's high on a cliff with stunning views of the bay, city, mountains, landscape, etc. It even has a private beach with a cute patio - which only matters if you're travelling in the summer.

Meanwhile, we were a good 25-30 min walk from restaurant, shops, etc. on an extremely narrow sidewalk with heave traffic racing by. There is absolutely zero sound proofing. We were woken up repeatedly by maids cleaning and talking, other guests coming and going. It was NOISY. The beds were hard and we didn't have any climate control other than opening and closing windows (which meant more noise) - some nights we were hot, some we were cold.

The people at the front desk and our breakfast attendant (AnnaMaria) were very friendly and helpful. We also got great tour and transportation idea from them (after we asked, they weren't offered up front) and the rooftop bar was spectacular.

Cons:

Noise, hard beds and being so far from everything.

It was great.

Beautiful relaxing place. It is old school hotel with a breathtaking view of the sea. It reminds me of growing up in Nap
Pros:

Very clean, friendly and helpful staff. Our room had a beautiful private view of the ocean, birds, cliffs and the sound of a running creek. Our visit was quiet, when we were there.

It’s the perfect home base for visiting Sorrento and Amalfi!
Pros:

Our room was clean and had a beautiful balcony view. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The beach is worth the walk down.
