We loved the location, overlooking the church, the historic feel to the building and the lovely gardens where we could enjoy a cold drink after a long day of sightseeing. The staff were exceptional- so genuine and welcoming and the warmth and enthusiasm of the breakfast team was a lovely start to the day. The bed was so comfortable- literally the best sleep quality ever.
staff accommodated us in the bar area for breakfast area as one of the group has mobility problems and uses a buggy to get around so steps into the dining hall made that difficult

The perfect location
Hotel is a bit old-fashioned but very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent. Location in the beautiful town of Stow was great. Lovely gardens.

We stayed here with friends for the weekend. Its in a excellent location. The room we had was spacious. The food there is very good, and they have a lovely garden to sit out in for either afternoon tea or drinks. However what makes it are the staff, very helpful and always had a smile on their face when the greeted you. On our list of hotels to go back too.
We called here for a coffee on 22/7/26 following a great visit last year.
Sadly in this occasion it did not live up to our expectations. Coffee weee ordered inside at the bar and we were given a table number. It was explained that as it was busy there would be a small wait, which was fine. After 25 minutes my husband went to see where our coffees were only to be told our order had been forgotten/overlooked. Many apologies but it was in excess of 30 minutes before our coffee arrived with more apologies.
Woefully inadequate service, it wasn’t just us either other customers were chasing up orders.
Come on Stow lodge not a good look for such a beautiful hotel and setting.
Clearly not enough staff to cope with demand.
