Excellent location to end our inn to inn hiking week.

There are many nice seating areas on the ground floor. The staff person at check out was awesome.

Cons:

I had mixed experience with staff. The person at check in was frustrating over my internet difficulties, The information was not sufficient. They should hand you the wifi password on paper at check in. Wifi is the first thing you want and no one should have to walk up and down all those stairs multiple times to get it going, The passwqrd is in a folder in room that I could not find. Two trips down and desk clerk just told me code and did not make spelling clear. The food was not as good as I expected. I was there in a heat wave, and the room was ridiculously hot. It is possible that my review is excessively negative due to heat,

You will not be disappointed.
Pros:

The hotel feels welcoming and inviting with a gentle charm and a sense of peace in a busy tourist location. The team could not have done more to keep us happy and looked after and they worked like a family together. Our birthday meal, elegantly presented with a smile was delicious.
Sadly the rain was not so kind preventing us from enjoying a lovely garden set in the centre of Stow in the Wold.
