Pros:

The staff were so friendly and warm. Everything was very well thought out in terms of amenities, and the daily breakfast was so good! The private in-room onsen was very convenient too.

Fantastic Ryokan Stay
Pros:

Staff were amazing! Friendly and helpful at all times. They definitely upheld the standard of a traditional Japanese ryokan.

Food was great, both breakfast and dinner, truly enjoyed my meals.

The room was spacious with an incredible view. Definitely enjoyed the onsen as well mini-bar that was provided.

Cons:

Bed was a little hard but to each his own.

Definitely a situation with mozzies in the area of Izu but nothing much to complain about since you are on a road trip afterall. Insect sprays and repellents are readily available.

Wonderful place to stay in a gorgeous location. Easy access to Jogaski Coast hiking.
Pros:

We had a lovely and delicious dinner. Dinner at Isana is an event and took around two hours to complete all of the courses. Everything was flavorful and beautifully executed. We wore traditional robes that were provided for dinner and breakfast.

Cons:

Nothing negative. Not for those who want to be in urban location. There are advantages to having a car here but staff were incredibly helpful in getting us to local train. We walked and primarily used taxi, train, and buses to see wider area.

妻が休暇にとびっきり美味しい食事と温泉をと望む要望に応えた旅。初日が雨だったのが残念でした

夕食フレンチ、朝食和食、両方とも素晴らしかった。見た目、味、適切な量、最高だと思います。

Cons:

隣の部屋で話す声が結構、聞こえた点。建物のつくりのせいですね。残念。
