Great family run hotel with amazing meals and even better hospitality.
Pros:

The staff was amazing and the food was delicious. They have a free shuttle to and from the gondola at Tsugaike which was a huge bonus. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and we will be back.

Cons:

Nothing, everything was great.

I will be going back for sure even though my skiing days are over
Pros:

The family home feel with outstanding hospitality. Nothing a problem always happy to help. On demand shuttle
Meals were amazing. Location stunning

Hotel Sunny Valley is family run with really nice staff(especially the old man) who is always patient to explain things around Hakuba. It’s about 10
Min walk from the gondola and the hotel will happily drop you off and pick you up each time for ski. The hotel breakfast is good although the menu can be repetitive. We stayed as a family of five in the family room in Japanese style room, and it was comfortable enough. I also like the fact they have public bath

Cons:

Location is not exactly near the bus stop but the owner will help you to drive you to bus stop/gondola

Pros:

The evening meals were fantastic. Authentic Japanese meal. Perfect stay if you want to experience the Japanese culture. Would definitely stay again.
Extra bonus, we could ski back to the hotel.

Good choice if ski Tsugaike
Pros:

huge rooms, friendly helpful old man at the reception, walkable distance from Tsugaike Ski area, ask reception for discounted rental and lift tickets to Tsugaike, great dinner (4400yen/pax)

Cons:

poor Wifi during peak hours (7-11pm), tiny public bath, bugs kept flying into room's light during winter, 24/7 knocking sound audible in 3rd floor room near lift
