Great location, had ground floor rooms and upstairs. We wished with our big luggage as no lift that we had booked a downstairs room.
No lift
Lovely gardens and had the Jacques restaurant on the waterfront. Walking distance to Rodney Beach and to the shops and 3 supermarkets.
No lift to our room.
The rooms were a good size. And it was walking distance to the beach and shops.
Air on and hot water were a bit unreliable.
The rooms were quiet and on the first floor with a good view. The pool was a good size and the lounge area overlooking the marina was great. As the owners stated, there was not much noise by the pool and people were quiet after 6pm, also with the hot tub which was nice. Location close to Reduit was good too. The housekeeper was helpful and good and we always had tea, coffee, etc. as well as cleaned room when requested.
The tv did not work, in spite of our asking twice for it to be mended or replaced. Very disappointing as we enjoy watching sport especially tennis and golf (The Masters).
Things kept breaking, e.g. plus in bathroom basin. Lavatory etc.
Blind and curtains did not keep out morning light at 6am.
Overall impression was that everything was old - beds, rugs, fridge etc.
No visible security person at night; anyone could have landed by boat from the Marina at the front of the hotel or walked round.
Cockpit bar/restaurant too loud; three televisions in one room with different channels on at the same time.
Therefore quite expensive bearing in mind the above, xcd15,400 24 nights, equivalent of GBÂŁ4189, GBÂŁ176 per night for room only.
Little oasis of calm in Rodney Bay. Right on the marina waterside with well established gardens so all you hear are the birds. Nice basic but elegant rooms.
It was lovely. It’s not the wynn hotel in vegas … but it was a very nice standard with great staff and great for its cost.
Traditional, two night stay as passing so didn’t get to explore the facilities / menu too much. Brekky was a quick coffee but nice
I am a stickler for standards and the shower wasn’t “spotless”. It was clean by standards but the odd mark (and I have high standards) as it’s a few years old … I have now written about it so it’s stuck in my mind
Position great , staff great
A bit of a wait for food in the Cockpit Pub
Lovely cosy outside spaces according to your whim - whether you want sunny spots, shady spots or privacy. We liked watching the sunset from the balcony too.
AC worked brilliantly.
Spacious rooms and shelving.
Kitchen could have been better stocked with more cutlery. There wasn't much hot water; we got used to it for showers but for washing-up 'tis a requirement - we hoped that housekeeping boiled the kettle for that, although we did it ourselves.
The property was excellent, and the staff maintained the property beautifully. The atmosphere was peaceful, the pool area was inviting, and everything felt well cared for.
Honestly, there was nothing I didn’t like. Everything from the service to the amenities exceeded my expectations.
It was in nice surroundings
Room was a bit dated
It was comfortable, peaceful, attractive and spacious
Nothing
