Convenient and friendly stay. Recommended!
Pros:

Great location within walking distance of many things and lovely, family-friendly staff who were friendly and always happy to help. Facilities, hot shower, breakfast, and wifi were good. It's a little more than we pay elsewhere in Southeast Asia but seemed a good value for Luang Prabang. We stayed a full week, and they let us move a table inside so we could do some work.
There were occasional construction noises nearby, a few (very short) power outages, and early drums from the monastery - but nothing too loud or disturbing.

Cons:

The bed was even firmer than we typically prefer.

Charming small hotel in a fantastic location
Pros:

We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Khoum. The location is perfect, right off Sakaline road in the historic district. We were able to walk everywhere from there. Our room was large with a comfortable king-sized bed and a nice shower. We also enjoyed sitting out on the verandah in front of our room. We stayed there 2 times, once on the ground floor, and the other on the second floor. The second floor rooms are much quieter with more privacy. One of the best things about the hotel was the staff - they were so friendly and helpful. We ended up booking several excursion through them

Cons:

The room was not in the main building, but in an outbuilding and was secured by a bolt insde or padlock outside. The walls were thin and it backed onto the temple with monks drumming at 4.30am and 5.55am

Excellent choice in great location
Pros:

We loved this hotel. In a fabulous quiet location and with such friendly and helpful staff. Huge room too. We would use it again.

Cons:

Some noise from room above on the wooden floor. Ask for an upstairs room to avoid.

Très bien mais il faut prévoir les bouchons d’oreille.
Pros:

L’emplacement, la beauté du bois, l’espace dans la chambre, l’accueil et la disponibilité du personnel. Les chants des moines que l’on peut écouter depuis son lit la fenêtre ouverte, absolument unique !

Cons:

L’insonorisation absolument inexistante. En effet les maisons traditionnelles de Luang-Prabang sont classées au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO depuis 1995. Il est donc impossible de les modifier et donc de les insonoriser.

Lovely staff, great location in the quieter end of town

Good quiet location. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

First night we were in not a great room especially for the $40 price tag! But we stayed a total of 3 nights and we changed rooms to MUCH better ones!

We had a lovely stay and the staff were wonderful. The decor was lacking in taste.
Pros:

The breakfast was very nice but it might have been better if the omelette had some mushrooms or onion in it.
The location was excellent and the staff helped us find the places we needed to go.

Cons:

The room did not look like it did on the pictures of the website. The decor of the bedroom was chintzy and the one of the shutters would not open.

An absolute gem
Pros:

Beautifully restored villa with excellent facilities in a simple elegant room. Lovely staff including the host manager, who as well as being able to help with everything, also offers fascinating conversation amd insight to enhance any visit to enchanting Luang Prabang. Location is ideal in the older quieter part of the town with plenty of interest close by and 5 or 10 mins walk from the main strip of restaurants etc. Even for reasonably priced Laos, this accommodation is exceptionally good vale.
