Hotel was very pleasant and lovely Staff
Pros:

This place is very clean and lovely. Having the pool was a real treat for cooling down after coming back from the heat outside. The room was spacious and spotless. The staff members were incredibly helpful and took great care of us throughout our stay.

Cons:

The location is a bit far from the town center and dining options. Unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience with the Tuk-tuk drivers waiting outside the hotel. He tried to overcharge us, and when we negotiated, his attitude was very aggressive and nasty.

We eventually ordered a ride via a mobile app, but the outside drivers appeared to threaten our app driver. While this may not be the hotel's direct fault, the lack of alternative transportation essentially forces guests to deal with these individuals. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and considers providing a shuttle or a safer transport option.

Fijne accommodatie weg van de drukte van de zuidkust
Pros:

Mooie accommodatie, zeer ruime kamers met comfortabele bedden en fijne douche. Zeer vriendelijk personeel en prima (continentaal) ontbijt. Zeer rustige ligging weg van de drukte.

Cons:

Je hebt wel echt een tuktuk of driver nodig bij dit hotel. Het ligt 15-20min rijden van alle restaurants in Unawatuna.
Ontbijt is prima en wordt persoonlijk uitgeserveerd, maar is wel elke dag hetzelfde. Dat kan na een aantal dagen wat eentonig worden.

We don't have anything to share that we didn't like because everything was so perfect. Location in the jungle, swimming pool, apartment, very helpful and nice stuff. Hope we visit you again. All recommendations to this hotel.

Дитина хотіла поплавати в басейні, але 11 ранку басейн був не готовий до купання , було багато комах . Попросила щоб стаф почистив . А вони хімію залили , в 11:00 ранку 🥲😡

Good value, good secluded location but not 4 star
Pros:

Room had decent balcony view, nice garden and clean pool overlooking the countryside. Room was good size and clean and the showers were good and warm. The 4 boys who were young but very enthusiastic were delightful and couldn’t do enough 👍

Cons:

For a 4 star, the breakfast was limited and not enjoyable so ate out the next 3 mornings. No wine. TV wasn’t working in lounge and no TV in room. The location of the property which we were aware of meant using a tuk tuk which has been no issue until here. A particular tuk tuk was camped outside the hotel gate. Territorial, aggressive and extremely persistent in trying to get your number and pressurise you into using him only. We were picked up in the afternoon by friends and he challenged my husband in a confrontational way which made us and our friends feel extremely uncomfortable. The tuk tuk is not connected to the hotel but is targeting the hotel’s guests.

Threatened with a knife at hotel Entrance , extremely unsafe for families

We had a deeply disturbing and unsafe experience at this hotel while traveling with our young children.
We wanted to visit a beach about 40 minutes away and chose to book a regular car instead of using a tuk-tuk. However, the tuk-tuk drivers stationed at the hotel entrance actively blocked any car from approaching the property. Every driver we booked canceled once they got close to the hotel.
After waiting 45 minutes, one driver finally arrived. As we attempted to get into the car, the tuk-tuk drivers confronted us and showed a knife to both our family and the driver. My wife and child were completely shocked and frightened. We genuinely felt unsafe.
We immediately decided to check out.
What made the situation even worse was the hotel management’s complete indifference. We reported the incident, but they showed no real concern, offered no meaningful assistance, and refused to cancel our reservation. They did not provide security, did not escort us, and would not even drive us to the main road so we could avoid the aggressive tuk-tuk drivers.
We had to walk with our children to the main road ourselves before we could safely get another car.
Whether the hotel officially cooperates with these tuk-tuk drivers or simply tolerates this behavior, the result is the same: guests are left unprotected.
For families traveling with children, safety should be the minimum standard. Unfortunately, we did not feel safe here at all.

1. This all happened one meter from your property. The police did not arrive within 60min.
2. We were one meter away from the tuk tuk driver who pulled his knife, you think that not made us feel unsafe
6. Untrue, there was a tuk tuk of the hotel onsite and three staff members that refused to drive us. They were afraid as well of the drivers. Do you think we prefer to walk next to these drivers in the afternoon heat with suitcases and child? There was no management onsite so you don't know what happened
