We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Idania Hotel. As other reviewers have said, the location was ideal as long as a view of the lake isn't a priority for you. Walking into the centre took 5-10 mins and the nearest restaurant was 2 mins away. The staff and family were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good with ample choice and was available for an amazing 7.30-11.00.

Having read other reviews about road noise before booking we requested a quiet room and were located at the back of the hotel (room 120) which was really quiet, overlooking the small car park, but when sitting on the balcony looking out you didn't see this and the view was of villas etc surrounded by lots of greenery.

Again, having read reviews about lack of plug sockets and tea/coffee making facilities, we went equipped with a continental travel extension (Europe Schuko Type E/F Travel Adaptor Extension 4 Way for France, Germany, Italy, Spain, all EU countries - bought on Amazon) and a travel kettle, both of which will be useful for future holidays.

Its true that the rooms are on the small side, but no more so than countless holidays we've had in Italy, but it was exceptionally clean - towels were changed daily and sheets twice a week, even the day before we were leaving! The beds were really comfortable and we slept really well the whole fortnight.

Gutes Hotel mit allem was man braucht, war alles gut.
Hervorragende Lage man ist in 5 Minuten in der Stadt.
Parkplatz vorhanden auch für tiefere Sportwagen.

Really good location a short walk from restaurants shops and the lake. Staff efficient and polite. Good sized pool with enough sunbeds. Downstairs lounge and bar area very comfortable with seating for different sized groups. Bedroom was rather shabby and I'm need of some updates but was clean.

Very central hotel. Lovely little place nice and relaxing. Very central for site seeing .
Down side rooms overlooking pool Very noisy from road. If you go round pool noise all day from motorbikes etc. Otherwise would recommend as a Base.

Back from 2 week stay at. Hotel Idania .it's a lovely traditional Italian hotel .we had a bed and breakfast stay .The hotel is immaculately clean and fresh towels and bed change at your request .breakfast is OK a wee bit too samey and after a 2 week stay was looking for something different but not too much of a issue .Our room was fine quite big with balcony and AC but no view and on the side and overlooking houses across the way .the road noise was annoying when sitting on balcony but got used to it .One big advantage of this hotel was the location ideal for every which way you wanted to go for shops restaurants bus station ferries and lovely walking routes ..Bardolino is very beautiful have been to other towns in past years but I think Bardolino is maybe the prettiest especially the amazing sunsets will be back but not sure about the Idania would prefer a room with a view and the atmosphere in hotel I felt was lacking although some of the staff we met were lovely and a credit to the owners . All in all a good holiday and stay at the Idania
