Free parking outside hotel, good and quiet AC in room, easy accessible by car.
Small room, but not an issue for one night.
I wasn’t able to stay. They turned me away at the door because they couldn’t find my booking.com booking. Do not book here through this app.
Very close to Livorno Centrale Train Station. Ideal for train travelers. The woman at the reception was nice.
The young man later at the reception- and in the next morning - was very unfriendly. For breakfast there was no bread, butter, jam, fruits - nothing. We saw only industrial sweeties and bakery - horrible. The cappuccino was tasty, on the other hand.
I liked the layout of the room and the fact there was a sink it in. The light switches and outlets were in convenient places. Everything was very clean. It was very well heated. The hotel also used the old-fashioned system of keys that was a treat.
It would have been nice to have a room with a bathroom, however, that was not a big deal because there was a bathroom down the hall exclusive for my use. Also, it would have been nice to have an elevator.
The hotel management should improve on the serenity of the rooms
There was no heater for my room and no way to turn on the Air conditioning in the room.
The location is good, it's right next to the central station, although it's rather quiet there. 24h desk is a plus.
The bed wasn't comfortable at all, the mattress was quite hard. There was no heating or air conditioning. I mean there was a radiator in the room, however, it didn't work and an AC remote didn't work either which meant I was cold the whole night.
The room was mediocre but the breakfast and staff are a horror story. When I went to eat breakfast, there was literally nothing fresh. Every piece of food was wrapped in plastic bags and extremely sugary. I don't think there were any nutrients there except ultra-processed carbohydrates. You couldn't even get a slice of bread to make make a basic sandwich. I assume they serve only food wrapped in plastic in order for it not to perish quickly, so most probably all those products are days, weeks, or maybe even months old. Not only that but you also don't get any solid cups. Coffee is served in a paper cup. If you want some sugary, tasteless juice or water you have to get it in a flimsy pastic cup. By the time I finished eating I had a pile of plastic trash. How's that for ecology. I'm sure the "save the planet" card in my room encouraging me not to exchange towels really means something to those guys! If you ever find yourself at this hotel for some reason, do yourself a favor and spend those 5€ on a normal breakfast in a cafe by the seaside. There's plenty of them and I am sure you will get much better quality of food anywhere else. Hell, you'll get better food by simply walking into a grocery store. I unfortunately tried actually eating that breakfast (and almost instantly regretted it afterwards) but what happened next was the cherry on top.
After finishing breakfast I went to my room to get my bag, brush my teeth and check out. I haven't yet paid the 5€ for the breakfast, since I didn't carry my wallet downstairs with me. This made a lady who worked there shout at me: "Excuse me! Euro! Euro! Euro!".
Location close to the railway station. 5 min on foot.
Friendly staff.
Low cost breakfast, very basic for 5€.
An old fashioned hotel with some charm but not enough to give more than a 6. Not everything worked as it should.
