Very average probably better alternatives in town.
Pros:

Close to the station.

Cons:

Very average, tiny room. Next door to laundry and very noisy until 8pm. Not a comfortable mattress and one side against wall. Room only really suitable for one person - not a couple. We’ve stayed in all sorts of places in Japan over many trips - made a mistake on this one - not comfy and well overpriced go what you get.

Très bien pour une nuit près de la gare.
Pros:

Très proche de la gare. Parfait pour dormir après le Shimanami Kaido et repartir en train le lendemain. Personnel très aimable, nous avons été surclassé. Les équipements étaient très bien.

Cons:

Exiguïté de la chambre, Pas de place pour défaire ses bagages, en particulier un fauteuil qui bloquait l’accès à un côté du lit. Pour une nuit seulement.

Blijkbaar een “smoking” room geboekt. Ik wist niet dat dit anno 2026 nog kon en mocht maar in dit hotel blijkbaar wel. Toen we na het inchecken naar de toegewezen kamer gingen dacht ik nog ach we roken zelf niet, dus hoe erg kan het zijn. Toen we de deur openden vielen we bijna neer van de rookgeur. Het was vreselijk. Alsof je met je neus in een asbak hangt. Er ligt tapijt en er hangen dikke gordijnen die doordrenkt zijn met tabakgeur. De muren en plafonds zijn geel van de rook. Dit was niet te doen. Eenmaal weer terug bij de receptie kon het personeel het niet zoveel boeien. Het hele hotel zat volgeboekt en het was ons probleem. Ook werden we er meerdere keren op gewezen dat we absoluut geen geld terugkrijgen. Verder 0 behulpzaamheid of attentie. We hebben maar een ander hotel geboekt dat achteraf een wereld van verschil bleek kwa service. Hier gaan we nooit meer heen!

Go Back to Onamichi if biking
Pros:

Location was great after turning in our bike rental. Afternoon staff was nice.

Cons:

Not a lot of action in Imabari. It was a ghost town. No restaurant, in area of hotel. We would have continued back to Onamichi. Morning stuff was not especially kind, borderline rude.
