The public hot-spring bath is available from 05:00 to 11:00 and from 15:00 to 01:00 (next day).

Please note, the outdoor swimming pool is available between May and October.

Guests without a meal plan who want to eat dinner at the hotel must make a reservation at least 2 day in advance.

Kaiseki, a traditional multi-course Japanese meal will be served for guests with a half board inclusive plan. If you are arriving later than 18:00, please inform the property in advance.

Beautiful but inconvenient
Pros:

Beautiful onsen with lovely rotenburo and sauna.

Our annex suite was very spacious and had a separate bedroom and tatami area with dividing doors, which was perfect for traveling with a friend. It was essentially a 2-bedroom layout.

Cons:

The location is far from town. The hotel shuttle is very convenient during the morning and afternoon, but it only runs until 6pm if you're not eating at the hotel. Taxis aren't widely available in Shirahama, so it's possible to get stranded.

The breakfast/dinner is quite expensive and only at set timeframes. It would be nice if there was a more casual option. The pool is closed outside of May - October. The gym machines are quite limited and there are no free weights.

Nice hotel with a little shortcomings
Pros:

Nice hotel on a hill slope with friendly English speaking front desk staff (a plus for us as we do not speak Japanese). We booked a Superior Suite with Tatami Area (Annex). The room is not as big as I expected, it was clean but there was a small dead cockroach at the sink in the kitchen. There was welcome drink at the lobby and snack in the room for us. As our room is at the Annex, the hotel staff helped us with the luggage.

Cons:

The room is a bit outdated and the lift at the Annex is so small that it cannot accommodate 4 persons.

Neither Japanese nor Western and failing at both.
Pros:

Very large room/suite. The Japanese and Vietnamese staff were very nice.

Cons:

An odd hybrid between western and Japanese styles, with only a set “Italian” meal available in the evenings in a characterless brightly lit under-populated hall, and again the food was neither Italian nor Japanese, not the best. Even made a mandatory charge for the onsen whether you used it or not.
