Отличное место для отдыха.
Pros:

Приветливый персонал, чистый номер, дали утюг, кружки для чая, очень внимательные, провожают и встречают.

Alcoholics - avoid. Room is good though.
Pros:

The room is actually not bad.

Cons:

- As soon as we arrived the owner and some of his friends were sitting in the yard very drunk. They forgot to prepare our room before our arrival and the owner was laughing about it because he was so drunk. One of his friends was rude while trying to make an offensive joke to us.
- Paper thin walls so lots of noise from the little drunk party the owner was having with his friends drinking whiskey. They were so drunk to the point where they handed me the legal papers of their cars and a bike helmet for no reason.
- Dangerous for solo travelers.

Super étape
Pros:

Très bien situé juste devant la plage, à proximité de quelques restaurants, les chambres sont basiques mais super propres et confortables, le tout dans un cadre agréable entouré de verdure. On a passé une super nuit, c’était parfait pour notre petit étape à Batticaloa.

It is just across from the beach. The beach is fine for swimming, at least when I was there in August/September. There are shore beakers, but once you get past them, it is calm. We had a delicious vegan breakfast that included fresh fruits and salads. The place has a lovely atmosphere.

Cons:

You should be prepared that there is quite a bit of litter on the sand.

Pros:

L’hôtel est charmant et vraiment accueillant. Les bungalows sont bien conçus, d’une propreté irréprochable et particulièrement agréables. Le personnel est extrêmement gentil, serviable et toujours prêt à s’adapter à vos besoins. Enfin, le gros avantage : la plage est juste en face, d’un accès tellement facile qu’on en profite pleinement.

Fijne kamers op een prachtige locatie met super attentvolle host

Deze accommodatie ligt op een prachtige plek, aan het strand in een rustig gedeelte van de stad (helaas, de branding is op die plek zo sterk dat je niet in zee kan zwemmen). De kamers waren voor ons comfortabel genoeg en er was een goede airco. Wat ons het meest is bevallen is de aandacht en behulpzaamheid van onze host, die allerlei dingen voor ons uitzocht, voor ons regelde en ons ook naar een restaurant bracht (en weer haalde).

Cons:

De prijs van de accommodatie was exclusief ontbijt en eerlijk gezegd vond ik het ontbijt wat overpriced in relatie tot restaurants e.d. in de omgeving. De prijs was heel eerlijk en transparant naar ons gecommuniceerd en wij hebben er verder niet over onderhandeld. Het ontbijt was verder prima verzorgd.

Es gibt nicht viel zu tun hier...
Pros:

Wir hatten 2 kleine, aber saubere und praktische Bungalows für eine Nacht.
Ein sicherer Parkplatz für unser Mietauto war auch vorhanden.

Cons:

Der Strand war sehr verschmutzt und viele Streuner liefen herum.
Einheimische haben uns vom Schwimmen ausdrücklich abgeraten, da es viel zu gefährlich sei (Juli 2025).
Außer Essen zu gehen ("Soul Kitchen" ist wirklich gut) kann man hier eigentlich nichts unternehmen.

Simple, clean, family garden vibe. Great value for money. Don't come expecting luxury.
Pros:

No food provided. A shed in the family garden. We loved it but wouldn't stay long there because across from a not very attractive beach and the ice cream van played its tune for hours. However it was perfect for us for a couple of nights in Batticaloa and it was fun being in a family setting. Sitting outside the shed we looked on to an attractive garden and it was very peaceful to read there most of the time. The family left us to our own devices just opening the gate for the car whenever we needed to enter or leave. Nice casual atmosphere. Great value for money and clean. No air conditioning so rather warm. Glamping would be the nearest experience to staying here and as we camp we were very happy with that.

Cons:

The website was a little deceptive as it gave the impression there would be breakfast or meals. It would have been good to have known there was no food or drink facilities before hand. A little hard to find.

Pros:

Das Sea View Resort war ein Zwischenstopp auf unserer Reise und mit Thinesh als unseren Gastgeber haben wir großes Glück gehabt! Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und Thinesh sehr hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Wir haben außerdem ein leckeres hausgemachtes Frühstück zu einem fairen Preis direkt im Garten der Anlage erhalten. Danke für alles, wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiterempfehlen!

Pros:

Schöne Bungalows, mit guter Ausstattung. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Er hat für uns auch 4 Fahrräder organisiert (2 hat er vor Ort) oder hat uns mit dem TukTuk an die Hauptstraße gebracht.
Preis-Leistungs- Verhältnis ist Topp.
Man ist schnell am Strand und kann früh morgens die Fischer bei der Arbeit beobachten und fotografieren. Das ist sehr empfehlenswert.

Pros:

Situé dans un petit jardin luxuriant et très bien entretenu, nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli par Yanesh. Les cabanes sont propres et bien équipées, juste en face de la plage. Yanesh nous a emmené en tuk-tuk pour dîner aux alentours. Le matin, vous pouvez voir les pêcheurs tirer les filets. Un moment authentique de la vie locale. Merci à Yanesh !
