The best hotel on Nilaveli beach
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay here. What started out as a two night stay turned into an 11 night stay. Everything was great, but most especially all the people who work there and made our stay so nice. They are all so friendly.

The rooms all face the pool and the sea. Ours was very comfortable and the bed was too. Absolutely silent AC, which is ideal. The pool is great, and is kept really clean. There are sun loungers under the shade of palm trees and the beach is good for swimming and walking along.

As the hotel was closing for a week's maintenance after our stay, we went to look at some of the other beachfront hotels and none of them came even close to the Cardamon's level 🤗

There is a restaurant where we had great breakfasts, (especially the parota) and we also had some lunches and dinners there. There are other nice places to eat nearby too.

We hope to return next year 🤞

Cardamon Hotel - Jederzeit wieder - Ein Traum.
Pros:

Lage, Pool, Meerblick, Direkter Zugang zum Strand. Das Personal. Wir waren traurig das unsere Zeit so schnell vorbei war.
Wenn etwas gefehlt hat oder nicht unseren Vorstellungen entsprechen hat, wurde sofort nachgebessert.

Tip für das Frühstück: Einzelbestellungen zwischen 500 - 1000 Rs sind möglich, inklusive Kaffee und Obstteller.
Tip: Nehmt euch Nescafepulver mit zum Nachbessern des Kaffees, sonst ist er sehr dünn.

Tip: Im nahen Umkreis gibt es einige Restaurants. Hier würde ich das Nila Rice & Curry empfehlen, dass ca. 800m den Strand entlang in einer Seitenstraße liegt.

Hinweis: Bier kostet 800 Rs

Cons:

Es gibt keine Cocktails und die Säfte sind begrenzt.

Keep calm and swim
Pros:

The pool's great for laps when the sea's too rough. The neighbor's dog, the two fat cats, the views, and above all, it's super relaxing. Nice wooden floors in the room and a decent bathroom.

Cons:

The restaurant menu is a bit below average, which is too bad as the atmosphere is perfect.
But I am a vegetarian and fancy healthy food. Anyway two good restaurants are within 100m on the beach.
For good coffee you probably have to go somewhere else as they only had instant left when I was there.
The lights in the room were white, which I do not like, but that is personal, some like it like that.

Spectacular beachfront hotel, feels private
Pros:

Beachfront hotel with nice pool and dining area. Feels private. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable, and balconies have spectacular views of the ocean. Only issue was that the sink leaked.

Un beau lieu avec un personnel charmant.
Pros:

Très bel accueil du personnel, belle chambre avec une très belle piscine et une belle plage privée. Le restaurant est également très bon.

Cons:

L’accès par la route est catastrophique, certains produits au restaurant ne sont pas disponibles hors saison haute.

A real jem on the beach
Pros:

It's hard to point out something in particular as everything was absolutely amazing. The hotel is right on the beach and has a lovely pool as well. It has beautiful and clean rooms with a very contemporary touch which was a bonus. Bathrooms were fantastic with walk-in showers and very good water pressure. Staff was so friendly and attentive. I could write much more but I think you should book and see with your eyes. You won't be disappointed. This hotel is a real jem and we are so happy we found it.

Pros:

Очень приятный отель, дружелюбный и отзывчивый персонал, все вопросы решаются моментально. Вокруг отеля красивая территория с пальмами, есть отличный ухоженный бассейн, и море тут же, широкий пляж. Чисто и красиво и внутри, и снаружи. При отеле есть ресторан, где вкусно готовят. Номер с ванной очень удобный, вид с балкона потрясающий. Мы отлично отдохнули, спасибо!

Sehr feeundliches Personal. Grosse saubere Zimmer mit tollem Moskitonetz und Flüster Air Con. Schön gepflegte Anlage mit sauberem Pool. Essen war gut. Auswahl wegen Zwischensaison eher kleiner, Preise auch im normalen Rahmen.

Freundlich, sauber, direkt am Strand. Frühstück und Abendessen sehr gut
Pros:

Wir waren Anfang Juni 2025, also ganz zu Beginn der Saison, im Cardamom Hotel.

Unser Zimmer war geräumig, sauber, die unverzichtbare Klimaanlage hat einwandfrei und leise funktioniert. Das Doppelbett war bequem und mit einem großen "Himmelbett-Mosquito-Netz" ausgestattet. Kühlschrank und täglich pro Person eine Literflasche bottled drinking water haben das Zimmerangebot abgerundet.

Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert: Das Personal ist ausnahmslos immer freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Zwischen dem Hotel und dem Strand ist durch große Palmen beschattet ein schöner Bereich zum Relaxen, 15 Meter vom Meer entfernt.
Eine schöne Standbar, abends mit Küche, rundet das Angebot ab. Insbesondere der gegrillte Fisch mit Gemüsebeilagen ist wärmstens zu Empfehlen: An einem täglich frisch befüllten Glas-Kühlschrank kann man sich direkt aussuchen, welchen der Fische man gerne zubereitet hätte.

Das Frühstück gibt es auf der beschatteten Terrasse hinter dem Swimming Pool, alles mit direktem Blick auf den Indischen Ozean.

Für Taucher: Direkt neben dem Cardamom Hotel liegt das "Divinguru Padi Dive Resort", für uns war das perfekt.

Es war ein sehr schöner und erholsamer Urlaub, wir würden jederzeit wieder genau dieses Hotel wählen.
