If you’re visiting the Ratnapura area you must visit Terrace Cinnamon View.
Pros:

Wow! Everything about the place is absolutely excellent . The room was amazing, the views across the valley from the room and pool are stunning, the food was superb and generous, and the staff were so friendly and helpful

Pros:

Beautiful setting.. Easy to reach Ratnapura by bus or pickme if you are interested in experiencing the sapphire markets and seeing real mines in operation..

Cons:

Seemed hard to get away but despite being told pickme wouldn't work we had no problem using pickme and Uber to get to the coast when we left.

Great food, realastic cost and lovely hosts.

Easy walk to a waterfall and tea plantation.

Bestemt et besøg værd
Pros:

En lille perle, gemt godt væk fra trafik og støj. Helt fantastisk udsigt, med det sødeste personale, og en rigtig god restaurant. Du kan gå til vandfaldet, men vi kørte også om til trappen hvor man kan gå hele vejen ned til bunden af vandfaldet.

A hidden gem in the gem cities area. ;)
Pros:

Meer dan 5x naar Sri Lanka geweest op vakantie en dit is werkelijk 1 van de beste plekken waar ik ben verbleven. Het ligt in een nog niet zo bekend gebied en dat vonden wij geweldig. Ook waren we de enigen in het hotel en hadden we het zwembad voor onszelf. Rondom dit hotel kun je op onbekende paden heerlijk wandelen in de jungle in het ongerepte natuur, en meerdere watervallen bezoeken (Zonder ook maar enig toerist tegen te komen!) Wij waren enorm fijn verrast.
Het personnel is super vriendelijk en doet alles om je verblijf aangenaam te maken, de kamers zijn schoon en ontzettend ruim, badkamer schoon en douche met zeer goede waterdruk, het eten verrukkelijk (zowel de Europese als de lokale opties, ik herken dan ook niets van eerdere reviews over niet lekker eten).
Hootepunt is uiteraard het uitzicht en het zwembad.
Dit is echt een ervaring! Het ligt toevallig in een minder bekend gebied, maar als je, net zoals wij, met een kind langzaam reist, kom je dus parelhotels en ongerepte natuur zoals deze tegen.
