I highly recommend Villa Pioppi. It is located on the sunset side of the peninsula. Amazing sunsets!
Pros:

We were in the adjacent property and our room was right next to the pool and we had our own patio. The pool (there are two) was quiet and looked right out to the lake. The restaurant is next to the pool with an amazing outdoor patio looking out onto the lake. We enjoyed dinner on the patio while we watched the sunset. Our room was plenty big for 3 people. The location on the peninsula was great. The shopping and dining was a 20 minute walk.

Cons:

The only thing we'd like to see is more shelving in the bathroom.

Veldig enkel frokost, men om du liker kaker og søtsaker så er den god.

Cons:

Hadde vært greit med noe varme på badet, det var iskaldt.

Great value for the price, and a very kind staff.
Pros:

The hotel's location is perfect—situated right between the old and new towns, making it an easy walk to the shops, the city center, the ferry stop, and the castle. We received a wonderful, complimentary room upgrade. The woman at the reception desk was exceptional; she was professional, incredibly helpful, and her kindness made our stay even better. Finally, the restaurant offers great views and a fantastic breakfast menu with plenty of choices.

Cons:

The room door locks could use an update, as ours was jamming a bit. Also, the food and drinks at breakfast could be refilled faster.
