Une belle surprise au pied du Takao-san !
Pros:

Quelle belle surprise dans cet hôtel dont nous n'espérions rien de particulier. Une très grande chambre avec vue sur la gare et la montagne (superbe de jour comme de nuit), des hôtes serviables (bien qu'avec un anglais limité; nous sommes loin des sentiers battus ici, pour les touristes en tout cas). Un délicieux petit-déjeuner (inclus avec la chambre) servi de façon très pratique dans une boîte à lunch (la deuxième journée, nous l'avons emporté avec nous et l'avons mangé pour midi). Des équipements fonctionnels dans la chambre, l'accès à des boissons chaudes offertes en tout temps et l'accès à un "rooftop" (assez curieusement, les deux fois où nous l'avons visité, nous l'avions à nous tout seuls). Un petit cadeau offert à la réception (il semble qu'il varie selon les saisons, alors je me conterai de dire que c'était sucré...) La possibilité de faire un feu de camp le soir, tout en observant des tokyoïtes en sortie qui, visiblement, n'avaient jamais fait de feux de camp (si c'est votre cas, l'hôtel fournit des instructions détaillées) ! La montagne est juste à côté et on s'y sent en immersion totale, il n'y a pratiquement que des japonais ici. Et les japonais en randonnée font comme chez nous, ils disent "bonjour" à tout le monde, alors n'hésitez pas à dire "konnichiwa" !

Cons:

Mon mari m'a fait remarquer que la construction était d'assez piètre qualité. D'ailleurs, nous avons vu quelques murs lézardés. Tant que la bâtisse ne s'écroule pas, tout va bien ! :-D
Aussi, ce n'est pas en lien avec l'hôtel directement, mais il est bon de savoir que c'est un coin isolé, qu'il n'y a que deux "kombinis" pour les courses et que les restaurants des alentours ferment très tôt en général. Bref, si c'était à refaire, je ferais quelques provisions avant de m'y rendre !

It is perfect if you are there for hiking but not for family with little kids :)
Pros:

It is very cool hotel if you are there for hiking or family with older kids. It has bonfire, gears for rent, and very good location. There is also free drinks in the morning like tea, juice, coffee, and milk.

Cons:

The parking situation is a little bit of messy. You will have to park at the affiliated parking that is 3 mins walk away, and often full. It is not baby friendly with very small elevator and very only one pillow per bed. There is also no TV nor water in the room.

ビジネスホテルより安らぎがありました。
Pros:

朝食のサンドウィッチboxは自分の好み通り野菜が使われていてよかったです。飲み物フリーも朝らしくて気に入りました。

Cons:

カフェでの食事内容は少し不満。定食でごはんとみそ汁がついていたわりに、おかずが洋風でパンのほうがあっていたかもしれないです。あとサラダはほとんどがレタスでご飯のおかずにはならないです。夕食のメニューは工夫してほしいです。

宿泊費の受付の方に、大変親切にしていたきました。ベビーカーの空気入れをしていただいたり、次の日の高尾山へのコースの選び方や楽しみ方を大変丁寧に教えていただき、とてもいい思い出になりました。また行きたいです。
