We had a fantastic stay at OMIA and would very much love ke to go back. It’s Lovely family run property.
Pros:

OMIA is a family run business and their staff are very helpful and friendly. The staff seem to enjoy their jobs which reflects in the high level service we received. OMIA has about 8 bungalows on site which gives a homely spacious feel. The bungalows are simple and spacious very clean and comfortable.
The property is next to the beach which is wonderfully peaceful , we discovered a nice beach bar about 800 meters to the right along the beach. Rekawa turtle beach for turtle watching is about 1 mile walk lot’s of restaurants there.
We used OMIA as a base to do a day trip on safari and a trip to Hiriketiya. As well as enjoying the relaxing on site.

Cons:

The property is a little remote with no bank or shop nearby. But that’s not really a problem. There are alternative restaurants and bars that are walkable distances. A Tuck tuck to Tangalle is about 15 minutes for banks, shops and restaurants.

Lage, Lage, Lage. Endloser menschenleerer Strand vor dem Hotel. Freundlichstes Personal. Spitzen Essen.

Cons:

Ein paar Liegen mehr am Strand wären fein.

Pros:

Directly on the beach. Spacious room with their own terrasse. A Changing choice of specials every day on the menu. Friendly hosts and staff. Down sized resort which feel more intimate.

Cons:

Maybe a Limited amount of long chair overall when the hotel is fully booked.
A light conforter would have been a nice addition to the bed sheets for when your partner is cold at night with the AC, but you're warm ^^

L'emplacement de l'hôtel sur une magnifique plage déserte, les très beaux jardins, notre chambre au bord de la piscine et vue mer, l'accueil, la gentillesse et les conseils précieux des propriétaires et du staff, la cuisine délicieuse préparée par un jeune chef talentueux et adorable, les cocktails ( mention spéciale au Mango Mojito 🙏)...

Magical, homely, beautiful & relaxing
Pros:

OMIA was a fabulous place to start our time in Sri Lanka. I was so pleasantly surprised at the size of the resort. In the photos it is hard to see how much land they have with wonderful gardens and heights/ views of the beach. I loved that they had access to an almost private beach it made for such a tranquil stay. The bungalow itself was truly wonderful so large, well maintained and with a stunning balcony. The staff at OMIA were there for anything you required during your stay. The food was particularly tasty, fresh and fair priced. Luckily we got to try the managers cooking , Sulfi, his curry was insanely beautiful and made with love. Sulfi has a lovely soul and he really makes OMIA come alive with his smile. I would stay at OMIA again - the only thing to note as a UK visitor is that I did not realise how loud it would be at night due to the waves and the sea being so close. If you’re a light sleeper this is something to consider. Otherwise the property, staff, food, location all exceeded my expectations! Thanks OMIA team.

Cons:

I learnt about sleeping so close to a beach and how the noise for me isn’t great but it’s not something about the hotel as such. Thank you.

OMIA is holiday pearl to catch a zen vibe
Pros:

Excellent and sweet staff. Barbara and the team went out of their way to make our stay good. Sulfi was extremely helpful and serviceminded.
Beautiful, spacious bungalows with wonderful sea view. The restaurant served simple, yet really delicious food. Breakfast was great. We would definitely come back to OMIA. It is a the perfect place to catch some holiday zen.

Paradijs
Pros:

OMIA, de eigenaren, het personeel en de honden hebben onze harten gestolen. Wat een paradijs! Superlief, gezellig en behulpzaam personeel, en samen met eigenaren Barbara en Amit zorgen zij ervoor dat je je helemaal thuis voelt. Prachtige bungalows, heerlijk zwembad, fantastisch strand, superlekker eten (zowel ontbijt, lunch als diner). Alles is schoon en cosy. Kleinschalig, waardoor je helemaal tot rust komt. Je kunt er tours regelen, ook Tuk Tuks worden opgeroepen om je overal naartoe te brengen. Wat wij weinig hebben gedaan omdat het resort zo fijn was dat we er niet weg wilden. Safari naar Udawalawa National Park is een aanrader. Ik zou nog uren kunnen doorgaan over dit geweldige resort, maar ik zou zeggen: ervaar het zelf! Ik heb in ieder geval enorme heimwee. We komen hier zeker terug!

Séjour exceptionnel dans un cadre magnifique
Pros:

Nous avons passé trois nuits exceptionnelles à OMIA. Nous avons été très bien accueillis par l’ensemble de l’équipe ainsi que par les propriétaires. L’hôtel est très bien pensé, tout comme les chambres qui sont spacieuses, confortables et bien équipées, avec une vue à couper le souffle sur la mer. Surtout, le cadre est vraiment très paisible, entouré de l’océan et de verdure. Au petit déjeuner, nous avons pu observer de nombreux animaux : écureuils, oiseaux, grenouilles, paons, etc. Les prix du restaurant sont élevés (3000+ pour un plat) mais les plats sont très bons. Nous avons eu la chance de bénéficier d’un fish barbecue, c’était excellent ! Merci au chef ainsi qu’aux propriétaires, Barbara et Amith. Nous nous sentions vraiment bien et aurions aimé rester plus longtemps.

Cons:

Tout était vraiment très bien. Notre seule suggestion pourrait porter sur la carte du restaurant, qui pourrait proposer un ou deux plats plus accessibles financièrement, surtout lorsque l’on reste plusieurs nuits.
