Wunderschöner Rückzugsort für einen perfekten Badeurlaub mit viel Ruhe

Es war ein richtig schöner Rückzugsort wo man stille Tage am Strand verbringen konnte. Die Bungalows sind sehr geräumig und das Frühstück, welches man den ganzen Tag genießen kann, war sehr lecker. Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Auf die Sauberkeit wurde sehr viel geachtet. Wir würden immer wieder kommen.

Cons:

Leider waren die Cocktails nicht gut und viel zu teuer. Das Abendessen war sehr gut, leider aber auch hier viel zu überteuert und zu kleine Portionen wo man nicht satt wird. Wir wären gerne öfter am Abend im Hotel geblieben oder Mittagessen gegangen, aber es war uns einfachzu teuer. Genauso auch die Cocktails, wenn diese besser gewesen wären und günstiger, hätten wir viel mehr konsumiert.

A perfect choice - 8 luxe bungalows in a quiet location
Pros:

I did a heap of research re where to stay along the southern coast for a little R&R after our travels. We wanted to stay somewhere quiet and small (OMIA = big tick on both those fronts). OMIA has just 8 beautful, gererously sized bungalows. Ours was #1 and our balcony overlooked the lush garden and to the ocean. Perfect. The pool was lovely and after a relaxing day we easily slid into 3pm happy hour at their little bar pavillion that overlooks the ocean. It was lovely to walk along the beach - in both directions there are a few small hotels and eateries dotted along the beach - and in the early morning we found the fishermen landing their boats and bringing in their catch. Coming from Australia, we have a high bar for beaches and the beach was lovely but we ended up preferring to swim in the pool.
The food is also excellent at OMIA and the staff and owners completely lovely and accommodating in everyway.
We did an excursion to Silent Beach (about 30 min drive away) - wow, so beautiful - worth an outing.
(With regard to other beach options, I had looked at staying in Hiriketiya Beach as it looked so beautiful but I was concerned it was too crowded (I was right - we called in on our way to Galle - super busy and a very youthful). We also called into other beaches, eg Mirissa and Weligama - I didn't love them so much either - very busy and the road runs along the beach so it doesn't have a peaceful feel).

Le paradis!
Pros:

Magnifique hôtel où l’on se sent commdes invités ! Les chambres, le jardin, la piscine, la plage, tout est magnifique ! Le personnel est charmant, efficace et discret. Le petit déjeuner et la restauration très bonne! Barbara parle couramment français et c’est un plaisir d'échanger avec elle!
Des pêcheurs lévent leurs filets tous les matins, ils apprécient un peu d'aide, n’hésitez pas !

Cons:

Les vagues sont un peu fortes mais la mer est tellement belle...

Pros:

Im OMIA Hotel hatten wir erholsame und ruhige Tage. Das Servicepersonal ist absolut ausgezeichnet und war jederzeit hilfsbereit und freundlich zu uns. Wir haben die Zeit vollumfänglich genossen. Die gesamte Einrichtung ist in einem sehr guten und sauberen Zustand. Im Restaurant haben wir stets hervorragend gegessen. Ein Besuch im OMIA lohnt sich – es gibt nichts Negatives zu berichten.

We had a fantastic stay at OMIA and would very much love ke to go back. It’s Lovely family run property.
Pros:

OMIA is a family run business and their staff are very helpful and friendly. The staff seem to enjoy their jobs which reflects in the high level service we received. OMIA has about 8 bungalows on site which gives a homely spacious feel. The bungalows are simple and spacious very clean and comfortable.
The property is next to the beach which is wonderfully peaceful , we discovered a nice beach bar about 800 meters to the right along the beach. Rekawa turtle beach for turtle watching is about 1 mile walk lot’s of restaurants there.
We used OMIA as a base to do a day trip on safari and a trip to Hiriketiya. As well as enjoying the relaxing on site.

Cons:

The property is a little remote with no bank or shop nearby. But that’s not really a problem. There are alternative restaurants and bars that are walkable distances. A Tuck tuck to Tangalle is about 15 minutes for banks, shops and restaurants.

Lage, Lage, Lage. Endloser menschenleerer Strand vor dem Hotel. Freundlichstes Personal. Spitzen Essen.

Cons:

Ein paar Liegen mehr am Strand wären fein.

Pros:

Directly on the beach. Spacious room with their own terrasse. A Changing choice of specials every day on the menu. Friendly hosts and staff. Down sized resort which feel more intimate.

Cons:

Maybe a Limited amount of long chair overall when the hotel is fully booked.
A light conforter would have been a nice addition to the bed sheets for when your partner is cold at night with the AC, but you're warm ^^

Tout ! L'emplacement de l'hôtel sur une magnifique plage déserte, les très beaux jardins, notre chambre au bord de la piscine et vue mer, l'accueil, la gentillesse et les conseils précieux des propriétaires et du staff, la cuisine délicieuse préparée par un jeune chef talentueux et adorable, les cocktails ( mention spéciale au Mango Mojito 🙏)...
