The staff, setting and room were all great. The guided forest walks were brilliant.
Wunderbar in der Natur gelegen und schönes Tour-Angebot. Das macht direkt bedrängt wird etwas zu buchen, kann ich nicht bestätigen. Ich wurde nur sehr höflich gefragt, weil natürlich auch der Guide seinen nächsten Tag planen möchte. Das ist für mich sehr verständlich. Die Tour war auch wirklich super und sehr zu empfehlen.
Schimmel auf den Zimmern. Das ist natürlich im Regenwald schwer zu ändern, aber vielleicht kann man den Schimmel zumindest regelmäßig mit Chlor neutralisieren oder eine Anti-Schimmel-Farbe auftragen. Ansonsten war aber eigentlich alles sauber.
The staff were so friendly and helpful. We did the night tour and the am tour and our guide was so knowledgeable.

Great access to the forest and an excellent bird guide.
Our room was very small and cramped. The walkway to the room was of stone which was difficult to walk on and where stones were missing it was actually a bit dangerous to walk on.
The staff was absolutely lovely and very accommodating. Amazing food, wonderful tours and beautiful and peaceful views. The room was more than comfortable, having a spacious bed, actual warm shower and even AC. If you want to explore the rainforest, this is the place to be!

The staff were fantastic, keeping in touch constantly before, during and even after my stay and ensuring I knew what was going on. I did a night walk and morning exploration walk in the forest, both were excellent! The guides were informative, knowledgeable and always trying to make sure I got the most out of the experience. I would 100% recommend staying here to anybody. The food was also incredible, so much flavour and a good amount of options!!

Great location right on the edge of the forest. Nice room with a great view. Staff were very friendly and helpful, especially with arranging tours and transport.
Food was tasty and generous portions. I arranged two forest tours through the hotel, which were great, we saw loads of stuff and got to swim in a local waterfall.
Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die ganze Anlage ist sehr schön mit vielen Pflanzen und kleinen Seen.
Und dabei ist auch der kleine Pool, von dem man einen Blick auf den Dschungel hat. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.
Es hat alles gepasst
Die Unterkunft war der Hammer, man ist umgeben von Natur, kann im Pool schwimmen, wann immer man will, manchmal hats Glühwürmchen. Die Tour mit dem Guide war unglaublich gut, für nur 35$ konnten wir von morgens bis um 16:00 unterwegs sein.

It's located near the park entrance
Most of the rooms are located near the aisle, so it was noisy. Almost every munite somebody passed throught. The room was very small and inconvenient. There was a bad smell from the swamp nearby.
I would advice to find another accomodation.
The location was very nice, just a few steps away from the forest. The staff was friendly, but felt quite reserved.
The mattress in the room was moldy and nasty. Also the owner of the place was quite rude. We had a ride booked and it was one hour late. The owner did not apologize, instead he kept stopping to do his own businesses. The all inclusive was not quite comprehensive at all. The stay was super expensive in comparison to what we got.
The accommodation is perfectly located at the entrance of the jungle, offering a great sense of adventure and tranquility. The rooms are exactly as shown in the pictures—spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The bathroom is also large and well-maintained. The pool is pristine and a real highlight, especially on hot days when you can cool off after a day on the road. Additionally, there is a lovely spot to enjoy dinner, breakfast, or simply relax and chat with friends. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy both the comfort and natural surroundings.
While the accommodation and amenities were nice, I felt a constant pressure to purchase from them, whether it was food, lunch, dinner, or jungle tours. We were repeatedly asked if we wanted to buy, and they insisted we purchase in advance for tours. This was a bit uncomfortable, as it felt like they were unhappy when we didn’t buy. As someone who has traveled a lot around Asia, I know you can often get better prices if you ask directly at the ticket counters. The accommodation is just 20 meters from the ticket office, so I decided to go there and negotiate better prices for the 6-hour jungle tour, which I managed to do.
It’s worth mentioning that the accommodation also offers tours of 2-4 hours, 6 hours (12 km), and a 1-day tour (25 km) that’s not available at the ticket office. While I’m not saying you should avoid buying tours from the accommodation, I’d recommend checking the prices at the nearby ticket counter as it gives you another option to potentially save some money. Be prepared, as they might encourage you to book a tour right after check in.
The location and setting were beautiful, the walk in the Rainforest & guide were great.
DO NOT COME HERE. It’s a massive shame as the location is beautiful & the hike through the Forest was great (with a lovely guide) we also had a great massage but the stay itself was awful. The rooms have no ventilation and so they absolutely stink, all our clothes ended up being damp and smelly also. The bathroom was covered in water when we arrived & they gave us half a roll of toilet paper which was obviously left over from whoever stayed before. The main customer facing staff are rude, unwelcoming and incredibly unhelpful - you have to ask multiple times to find out basic info you should be told already. The food is mediocre, it is definitely not all inclusive as you have to pay extra to drink which they don’t tell you the price & give you an extortionate bill at the end (1200 for a beer when we haven’t paid more than 800 anywhere else). They also beat the dogs that are around the area - they are sweet and do not harass or even approach you unless you call them over. Throughout our stay we kept seeing the dogs covered in water/shaking and with marks and then we witnessed the owners hitting them and spraying them it was disgusting. Absolutely horrific & insanely hypocritical considering they’re selling tours to see the wildlife in the rainforest which apparently deserves more respect. They also play loud weird country music which is not what you expect in the rainforest. I beg you to not go here it is the worst place I have ever stayed (also one of the most expensive on our trip) we have had great experiences for the rest of our trip and found people are very friendly and lovely but this was awful.
Staff were extremely kind and motivated, but a bit too focused on selling the tours.. Food were nice and beautiful garden and pool area.
The name on booking did not match with the real name of the property (real name: Forest Edge). This caused different problems and inconveniences.
The rooms have nice big windows to the garden, but the main way of the hotel go directly in front of them.
The location is just 50 metres away from the entrance to the Sinharaja rainforrest, but you are already in the rainforest setting in the stay. Pikiri is a kind and warm person who made our stay so lovely, he made sure the food was prepared according to our dietary requirements and also helped us find a quick and cheap way to Colombo after our flight was rescheduled.
Nestled just near the Gate of Sinharaja Rainforest and it was an unforgettable experience. Surrounded by lush greenery everywhere, we felt more alive. The rainforest tour gave me memories and a peek into the forest world. The tour was very informative for a nature lover like me. Mr. Prasad and his team were very helpful with our needs.
The highlight of the stay was a firefly that was just chilling in our room. It was magical.
Food options in the All Inclusive package could have been a little more. But it is also understandable that you cant expect a five course meal in the middle of the forest.
The property itself was very good, everything was good here.
Our problem was, that it said the rainforest tour is included in our stay. That was written in the room description, my confirmation and the hotel even confirmed that on arrival.
But the next morning, when the tours were starting, they wanted us to pay which we eventually did.
Very disappointed by that mistake because I spoke with the owner on the phone and got shouted at.
I hope that they changed the room description so no one else will get confused here
