Pros:

Every member of staff that we met from arrival to departure was fantastic.
Very polite, courteous & extremely helpful.
Catered for all our needs.

We booked this place last minute due to having to change our original plan (Kandy & Ella) because of the recent Cyclone.


Although Lagoon Gate can appear a little isolated it is an absolute gem as you are in and amongst nature & right on the Lagoons edge.

It is so easy to get out & about, the staff will order Tuk Tuks or Taxis for you or if you feel adventurous you have free use of bikes which we made full use of.

Also, the hotel provides use of Kayaks to use on the Lagoon.

The rooms are spacious & very clean overlooking Rekawa Lagoon.

We had evening meals in the hotel on several occasions & I have to say, the authentic Sri Lankan Curry was outstanding!

Breakfast is delightful with a good choice & freshly made.

Pros:

The property is located quite far from the main road and I'll be honest, the access road isn't great. But that being said, once you get there, you don't want to leave. The rooms are big and very spacious. We booked the family triple room and it was huge and very comfortable. Pool was clean and inviting. You can use the kayaks at any time and go onto the lagoon. The staff are excellent and so polite. Food at the restaurant too was really good. Shout out to Lalith, Shaan and the Chef. You'll made it a memorable stay.
