Surf Orchid Villa

Super friendly family, very accommodating & great location

It’s rented by a very friendly and sweet family who run the shop nearby. Clean large room with powerful AC, good mirror, table and chair in the room. Small fridge was also available in the room along with hot water shower.

This has been our favourite place to stay in Sri Lanka so much so that we extended a two night stay to two weeks. The standard you get for the price you pay is exceptional. The family are very welcoming and make you feel like you are at home. The breakfast beats many restaurants we have tried elsewhere and is a welcome treat after an early morning surf. Not to mention you are a 2 minute walk from the beach.

Good location very close to coconut beach. Lovely family. Air conditioning. Good WiFi. Table & chairs in front of room. Great breakfast but allow an hour for all the courses! The owner did some laundry for me at a very reasonable rate.
Head up to coconut beach for sunset ….. during the day, turn left and keep walking over some steps and you get to a very nice, secluded beach that you can swim in. There’s a cute wooden little restaurant there too & you can snorkel there.

Staff were friendly, very cute guest house. The room was spacious and very clean. It also has the best Pillows.
I highly recommend as the street is quiet and has a beautiful beach within walking distance.

Amazing location 100m walk to the beach, air-conditioned villa with private bathroom. Hosted by a genuinely lovely Sri Lankan family. A huge breakfast each morning was included. Highly recommend!

Family is so welcoming nice and helpful, we felt like home here, we started with 3 nights but extended to 6 as we felt so good
It was clean, the AC is working well

We had such a nice stay we would love to come back. The room is big and clean, nice big bed and the local/western mixed breakfast is really good and filling. The family is super nice and friendly, and really take care of you.
It’s only 2 min walk from a super cozy beautiful beach and some nice restaurants.
It was nice to sit in front of our room and have our own little patio.

Little close to the bigger road, but this didn’t bother us really.

Perfect location, at the middle between Weligama and Midigama-Kabalana, in front if this beautiful calm coconut beach.
The family that owns the place are one on the nicest and warm hearted that I have met.
Always asking if i needed anything, cleaned the room and made sure that everything is alright.
The bed was very comfortable and big, nice sheets, warm water at shower and perfect working AC!!
The breakfast was very nice, I was surfing mornings and when came back the owner just asked me if i would like to eat and made me breakfast as i asked with super nice local food that she makes.
I booked for 3 nights and stayed my entire staying!
For sure gonna come back, recommend you all.

Everything, the hosts were fantastic, kind, generous, helpful and made me feel so at home. The location is excellent. It’s quiet at night for a good night sleep and a very comfy bed! I wish I had found Orchid Villa sooner during my stay in Sri Lanka

Perfect stay, room extremely clean including fresh towels and room clean every few days. Very close to coconut beach which is beautiful for sunset. Breakfast was very tasty, family were very kind and really wanted to help you. A bus runs straight outside the guesthouse to Weligama, Mirissa or Ahangama so perfect location.

We felt like we were home. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and perfect AC. We could have breakfast (I really suggest it) in the cozy garden in front of the room, where we could also safely park our scooter. It’s also located just 2 minutes walking distance from Coconut Beach. Couldn’t suggest this more.
