Belle chambre, vue mer, vue coucher de soleil, à 2min du surf spot
Pros:

La localisation. L'hôtel est droit en face du surf spot principal main point. La chambre et salle de bain sont très propres. Ménage fait régulièrement. Il n'y pas de réception mais ce n'est pas un problème. La propriétaire est disponible au téléphone et sur WhatsApp. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Très belle vue depuis le balcon. Lits et coussins confortables. Tous les restaurants sont à environ 5min à pied. Je suis restée un mois et m'y suis sentie en sécurité (femme seule). Que du positif cet hôtel. Les propriétaires sont très gentils!

Rena rum till bra pris med fin utsikt och bra beläget i Hikkaduwa
Pros:

Bra beläget i Hikkaduwa, precis i mitten där man vill bo för att lätt komma till det mesta. Rent och fint rum och värden gav mig nya handdukar och städade i rummet. Lite motell-känsla här då det är loftgångar. Jag bodde i hörnrummet mot havet, väldigt fin utsikt och effektiv AC.

Cons:

Det fanns inte någon hotellreception i byggnaden, utan kontakten med värden sköttes mest via WhatsApp eller slumpmässiga möten på hotellet. Hotellet kändes lite öde vilket kan bero på att det var lågsäsong, men jag hade önskat ha mer fysisk kontakt med värden för att känna att det fanns någon tillgänglig på boendet. Detta gjorde det lite oklart vart jag skulle gå när jag anlände till hotellet och det dröjde ett tag tills jag fick rummet trots att min incheckningstid var accepterad på booking.

Om man sover lätt, är det bra att veta att vinden viner och vågorna slår ganska högt om nätterna. På ett sätt härligt, men jag sov med öronproppar.

Hotellet delar byggnaden med en massagesalong och resturang. Jag bodde som ensam tjej på detta boende och upplevde att det hängde många rastlösa killar som stirrade mycket och låg utslagna, vilket gjorde att jag inte kände mig superbekväm. Detta är däremot inget negativt som har med själva faciliteten att göra, men bara att man är medveten om detta ifall man vill ha ett mer privat hotell.

The view from the room. Open and airy. Nice room with good air conditioning and nice shower.

Cons:

It doesn't have a formal reception. It's more like apartments and that isn't reflected when you are booking. Confusion when you arrive.

Good clean place in middle of main road
Pros:

Nice room with sea view. Very clean, comfortable bed. Location is very good as the hotel is right on the Main Street. Good strong AC. Despite other reviews here, there IS hot water, maybe people don’t know how to use it.

Cons:

Staff was not really around most of the time. If you’re a light sleep, noise from the strong ocean waves at night could be an issue. The electrical outlet was broken.

Easily the cleanest accommodation I’ve stayed in during 3+ weeks in Sri Lanka—and completely bug-free! It’s right on the water with amazing sea views and a direct look at a surf spot. The rooms have AC and a fan, and the hosts are incredibly kind (wishing them all the best for their business!). Plus, having a restaurant and cold beer right on the ground floor is super convenient. Highly recommended.
