Star Rest Surf Camp Arugambay

I was only supposed to stay a nights, The hotel is located in a quiet area, close to the beach, and each room also has a small table and chairs outside, allowing you to enjoy the tranquility of the garden. It was wonderful to have breakfast there every morning. The owners are welcoming and helpful. There was always a smile. I will definitely return as soon as I return to Arugam Bay. thanxs to Ansa

The accommodation is clean, modern, and very well maintained. The service is excellent, and the staff are extremely friendly, always willing to help with anything you need. The property near to the beach, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. As for the food, there is a wide variety of options and everything is delicious. Overall, nothing but praise for this place. Will definitely come back again 🫶

Everything is perfect manager and staff very soft and helpful peoples. Room was very clean and comfortable new AC and new mattress .breakfast fast was veery delicious. Lagoon and sea views

FINGER WEG! Es klang zunächst sehr gut im Internet. Es gibt aber wohl 2 Booking-Seiten. Es ist nicht komfortabel und sehr dreckig. Nach 5 Minuten im Zimmer haben wir die kostenlose Stornierungsoption genutzt. Der "Hotelmanager", wie er sich selbst bezeichnete, wollte uns unser bereits im voraus gezahltes Geld jedoch nicht erstatten. Nach einer langen Diskussion erklärte er, er werde lediglich die Hälfte erstatten. Wir blieben hartnäckig. Der "Hotelmanager" war sehr ungehalten, unfreundlich und aufbrausend. Letztendlich hielten wir an der kostenlosen Stornierungsoption fest. Es kam ein weiterer Mitarbeiter hinzu, der die Situation klären wollte. Wir haben von ihm fast den gesamten Geldbetrag zurückerhalten. Es wurden jedoch 1500 Rupien "Bearbeitubgsgebühren" einbehalten. Zuletzt wurden wir vom "Hotelmanager" beleidigt. Er rief uns "Fuck off" hinterher. Die schlechteste Erfahrung, die wir auf unserer gesamten Reise in Sri Lanka gemacht haben. Der unfreundlichste Mensch, den wir in diesem Land getroffen haben. Wer nur ein wenig Wert auf Komfort und Sauberkeit legt sollte diese Unterkunft auf keinen Fall buchen. Es gibt viele preislich vergleichbare Unterkünfte, die deutlich besser sind.

Wonderful place and Amazing Surfing . The room and the whole property is very clean and pretty. The entrance is full of flowers with garden. Ansa is also a great host who always takes care of you and helps you organize everything you surf trips (including board rental), taxi service and safari. Even though it’s a quiet place you will also be able to listen to the waves especially in the early morning. Very delicious food.

I arrived at Star Rest Surf Camp, I felt a calm and inviting atmosphere. The room was superb – spotless, comfortable, and perfect for a good night's sleep. The owner was warm, caring, and clearly runs the place with great attention to detail. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would gladly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Love this place

We had a very pleasant stay. The staff were very friendly. It's only a 1-minute walk from the beach and otherwise in a fantastic location. Highly recommended

Good comfortable and value for money. Good place to stay end of town and at night you can sleep in peace and quiet., which is fun except when you need to sleep! Also the bed and pillows were the best compared to other places.

We really enjoyed our stay at Star Rest Surf Camp. The rooms were clean and very nice. The beach were the Camp is located at was lonely and beautiful, a must do is watching the sunrise there. The staff was super friendly and alert. We also liked the food and appreciated the free water they provide. We booked surfing lessons via the hotel which were great too.

We loved our stay at Star Rest Surf Camp! The location is amazing, literally 2 minutes walk from the beach. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and the people very friendly. It’s also great value for money. Highly recommended

This was the best accommodation I have stayed in in Sri Lanka. The rooms are lovely and the whole place is beautifully decorated. You can tell the owner and everyone working there put a lot of effort into creating a true oasis. Highly recommended

I loved the people that ran the property, they made my stay feel like home and made sure that I was as comfortable as possible with them. Such friendly staff and really good facilities, the breakfast was a lovely touch to the place and the cooking dinner made us get to know them !

Very comfortable hotel in a perfect spot overlooking the lagoon and beach. The owner Ansa looked after me well. I could use the kitchen and fridge. Super comfortable bed and air conditioning. Huge perfect to relax.
