Die Unterkunft ist einfach, aber für 1-3 Nächte vollkommen ausreichend. Frühstück ist ausreichend und auf Wunsch bereitet der Gastgeber auch Abendessen zu und organisiert eine Safari. Er ist sehr bemüht um seine Gäste. Falls man mit einem Tuktuk/Scooter/Auto kommt, es gibt eine eigene abgesperrten Parkplatz.

Nous avons trouvé une blatte sur la moustiquaire. Chambre trop sombre. Je n’était pas à l’aise dans cette chambre
The upper unit verandah has a nice view out over the rice fields and across to the Stupa.
The room facilities are very basic. No bedside light, no desk for computer, power points in inconvenient positions, no shelves, hooks or space to hang or store clothes. There is no bar fridge, so water etc can't be kept cold. .There is little or no soundproofing between the upper and lower units., so if both units occupied you'll hear every word or noise from other unit.
The meals were quite ordinary and were very much overpriced, when compared to similar meals from restaurants in nearby Tissamahara town.. The kitchen in which the meals are prepared wouldn't pass health standards. The tap water isn't drinkable, yet the proprietor tried to charge top price for bottled water. No UHT milk is provided for tea/coffee
Overall, the unit felt a bit grubby and poorly maintained. I stayed there as a solo male traveller and it was just bearable,, but i wouldn't stay there if travelling as a couple. Other places in Tissa would be nicer and represent better value.

The room was nice, the bed was very good, the owner did everything himself, he was a very nice host, very kind and gives you a nice welcome drink, it was clean.
The shower could use a bit more pressure and one of the 2 rooms had airconditioning and we had the one without, if you can handle the heat, it's ok, but I couldn't and had to go to another place to stay the next night. He is planning to add airconditioning to the second room as well, but now it's not there yet.

Camas cómodas y lavabo muy limpio. El dueño es de lo mejor, nos preparó una cena buenísima y también el desayuno a las 5 de mañana para llevárnoslo al safari. Sitio encantador y muy agradable
Todo bien
Es un lugar con mucho encanto. La cabaña es muy agradable y estaba todo limpio. La cama enorme y muy cómoda. El baño muy grande y limpio. La atención fue excepcional. Está rodeado de naturaleza y hay un lago cerca que es precioso y lleno de aves. Nos prepararon una cena y desayuno acorde a nuestras preferencias (vegetariano). Está cerca del parque natural de Yala para hacer un Safari.
Todo, alojamiento súper recomendable para hospedarse si vas a hacer el Safari, nos encantó y el anfitrión Muy amable y servicial nos preparó el desayuno para llevar al safari a las 5:00 de la mañana

Location was 10/10. Loved how it faced the rice paddy field and was in a quiet tranquil location. In addition, the Homestay owner was very very helpful. He helped arrange the car from Ella to Tissamaharama, the full day safari and also the car to our next destination. All for a very good price. As a side note, we managed to see TWO leopards, a bear, elephants and lots of others on our trip so we highly recommend based on his safari contact!!
The sheets could have been a little bit more fresh smelling.

Not comfortable due to warm condition in the night
Nice location with a stunning view! The beds were comfy and a huge bathroom! The owner was very friendly without being too assertive, for breakfast he made hoppers, pani pol and fruits in his super cozy garden! Really recommend this place!

Excellent hospitality, the host is a great person and a great appetite.
Lal the owner is absolutely lovely and couldn’t do more for us! He cooked us an incredible vegetarian dinner and prepared breakfast for us to take on the safari! The room was very comfortable and the location is beautiful and very close to Yala!
We enjoyed our stay at Coconut Island Yala. The surroundings and the house are super beautiful. Also the host helps you with any booking you want to do during your stay in Yala.
