Pros:

Die Zimmer waren sauber groß und klimatisiert. Bequeme Betten. Die Lage ist ruhig. Schöner kleiner Pool.
Das Frühstück war hervorragend, das Personal sehr nett.

Cons:

Nichts.

Great value for money! Big and comfortable rooms
Pros:

Clean and spacious rooms. The bed was big and comfortable and the room was equipped with fridge and kettle, warm water, AC and great WiFi. Friendly staff and pool for morning and afternoon swim when you get back from the beach. Good value for money. Breakfast at the property was good.

Cons:

The location is a little bit off, but it’s easy to get a Tuktuk to the beach or to restaurants in the evening.

Very disappointing
Pros:

Hot shower and good AC

Cons:

Young staff were uninterested and almost rude. Immediately demanding payment as soon as we arrived and not returning change due. It could be a lovely but let down by Staff.

Trevlig personal och hjälpsam ägare. Billigt. Okej WiFi

Cons:

Poolen såg smutsig ut. Bara 4 solsängar. Man städade inte på 5 dagarna vi var där. Inget värdeskåp i vårt rum. Det stod att restaurang fanns men det gjorde det inte. Stranden nära men där är väldigt höga vågor.

Sehr ungute Eigentümerin
Pros:

Großes Zimmer mit Pool und schöner Hotelanlage.

Cons:

Schlechtes Badezimmer ohne Warmwasser und Seife, nur eine Steckdose im Zimmer und Lichtschalter nicht in Bettnähe. 4 Sterne sieht definitiv anders aus.

Nachdem ich am ersten Tag das überteuerte und sehr enttäuschende Frühstück für 2200 Rs genommen hatte, teilte ich der Eigentümerin via Booking mit, dass ich am 2ten Tag keines mehr will. Diese Nachricht wurde mit "okay" beantwortet. Am 2ten Tag in der Früh als meine Freunde mit denen ich reiste beim Frühstück saßen (es war bei deren Zimmerbuchung inkludiert) drückte ihnen plötzlich ein Mitarbeiter sein Handy in die Hand. Dran war die Eigentümerin und sie sagte ich soll jetzt gefälligst frühstücken gehen und sie ist jetzt extra für mein Frühstück aufgestanden (sie war nicht einmal auf der Anlage sonst hätte sie ja nicht angerufen und warum sollte sie auch nur für mein Frühstück aufstehen??). War schon sehr dreist uns da so schamlos etwas vorzulügen anstatt einfach ein gutes Frühstück hinzubekommen. Da haben wir in weitaus billigeren Hotels auf Sri Lanka viel besseres Essen in der Früh bekommen.

Un séjour d’exception
Pros:

Notre séjour dans cet hôtel était parfait. Un chambre spacieuse avec climatisation et une puis une très agréable pour profiter du beau temps. Le service est à l’écoute de vos moindres envies. Je recommande.

OK, wouldn't stay again. End of season cut backs?
Pros:

The team were friendly and were very responsive to messages (over WhatsApp).

The gardener was lovely and brought a big inflatable for us to use in the pool

The Cactus seafood restaurant just opposite (3min walk) is fantastic, don't pause over whether to get the mixed seafood platter - absolutely a must have and the portion is huge, order for 2 could feed 3 adults.

Cons:

- upon check-in they requested a higher payment in Rupees vs the on the day US$ exchange amount, even upon compromise they requested an additional payment as a "mistake" had been made. We said that we had already paid more than the booking was made for
- water is not provided except upon arrival (2 x small bottles), and when more was requested, only one small bottle could be provided. There was then a charge for this at checkout, which we refused to pay
- the nearest shop is about 10-15min walk in the town centre
- there was almost no hot water, only on 1 of 3 evenings and not enough for 3 people to shower
- the water pressure (room 2) was a trickle, very challenging to wash ourselves and a small child with no water power
- no bathmat provided, the bathroom floor is very slippy when wet
- Breakfast is simple and tasty but not as advertised in the photos on booking.com (no yogurt, no bacon) and the fruit bowl selection on one day was just papaya until we asked for something else for our 18mth old

We were the only guests for 1 of our 3 nights, and it seems that they've cut back at the end of season.

Would suggest looking at accommodation near Ganesh beach next time. There's more options and direct access to the beach at this end of town.

Pros:

The staff is friendly but a bit useless. They hardly speak any English and aren’t really much around or hiding somewhere. So here you are on your own. The room was nice and breakfast was good as well. Nice beaches close by.

Was worth the money since it wasn’t too expensive. Would stay again but not for many nights :)

Family (three kids) trip in Tangalle
Pros:

Moonstone Villas was place where we were able to feel like home. The rooms are big and tidy and the place is very peaceful. The staff is really helpful, and even every time we didn’t speak same language, they did all they could to solve the problem. I think the location was good. There is a nice Beach just across the street and Tangalle beach is in walking distance. Also City center is easy to reach by walking, but tuktuks are really cheap and easy to use too.

Cons:

There was some problems with water pressure and warm water in the shower, but the weather was so hot, that we didn’t suffer about it a lot.

Pros:

Lovely hotel, just a short walk from a quiet beach. The swimming pool is great, the beds are comfortable, and the rooms are spacious. We stayed in the room closest to the road, and while it was a bit noisy at night due to traffic, it was still manageable. Overall, a very nice stay!
