Pros:

Не далеко от пляжа, магазинов, банка и барбекю куры гриль. Очень приветливый хозяин. Чисто и уютно. Дешевле чем в Нигомбо или в Колумбо. Можно найти много рыбы и курицы в ресторанах. Главное просить их не перчить и не готовить с кари соусом. Целиковые, не наколотые химикатами барбекю куры в центре города, напротив заправочной. Рыба, всякая, сушеная, вяленая, свежая и даже живая прям у моря можно купить по смешным ценам. И красивый Темпле, обязательно для посещения.

Cons:

Правда бассейн не был чистым, но мы ходили только на пляж. Для этого сюда мы и приехали.

Vriendelijk personeel. Het zwembad werd dagelijks gekuist. Vroegere checkout was geen probleem.

Hoewel we vooraf goede reviews lazen, kon dit appartement de verwachtingen niet waarmaken. De kamer was erg basic en de airco maakte veel lawaai. Bij aankomst moesten we direct zeven muggen doodslaan en de sfeer was verre van gezellig. We zijn daarom een dag eerder vertrokken. Dit verblijf is prima als overnachting op doorreis, maar niet geschikt als plek om enkele dagen te ontspannen.

Sehr saubere und schöne Unterkunft. Hatte alles was wir benötigt haben. Personal war sehr nett und hilfsbereit, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Schöner kleiner Balkon und auch am Pool konnten wir gemütlich baden.

Llençols antics, aspres i incòmodes. Tot molt vell. Ens vam banyar a la piscina però feia mala olor.
No hi havia aigua calenta, tot i que amb la calor tampoc era el pitjor del món

Decent enough value for the place but dirty pool
Pros:

Aircon was really nice to have in the heat.
Private bathroom.
The owner gave us an extra sheet after we requested as the first one was quite small.
Felt quite secure.

Cons:

The pool was dirty, and the water was murky. Super disappointing as this was one of the places main draws when booking. Also pretty noisy by the pool. No cushions on the loungers.

A little awkward coming back and walking through the owners living room while he's watching TV to get to the room.

Toilet was also leaking a little from the base.

Pros:

Velký prostorný pokoj s koupelnou. Pán byl milý a ochotný. Cokoliv jsme potřebovali, hostitel vyřešil. Součástí ubytování je soukromý bazén, který byl čistý a velký. Snídaně byla skvělá. Krásnější část Uppuveli beach je v docházkové vzdálenosti.

K dispozici není moskytiéra.

Terrible experience – do not stay here!

Our stay was absolutely awful. The room was full of mosquitoes, extremely noisy from the street, and we found dirty sheets and even cockroaches. The water pressure in the shower was almost nonexistent, and the water was ice cold. On top of that, there was a horrible smell everywhere, and the toilet wouldn’t flush properly.

The owner greeted us wearing only underwear, which was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable. The electrical outlets didn’t match standard plugs for the country, the TV shown in the photos wasn’t even connected, and the pool looked so dirty we wouldn’t dare go near it.

To make matters worse, the owner tried to charge us more than the price listed on Booking.com. We had booked two nights, but because of the terrible conditions we wanted to leave early. Although it’s his right to charge for both nights, he also demanded an even higher amount than advertised – and if we hadn’t double-checked, he would have overcharged us even more.

This place is dishonest, dirty, and completely misrepresented online. Stay far away!

We spent almost a month at the Parallel villa and had a great holiday. There are various shops and cafes nearby, the beach is 10 min walk from the villa and you can go anywhere around the city on tuk tuk for an affordable price. The owner is very attentive and is always there to help. When we got tired of the local food, he let us use the grill in the garden and we had a barbecue by the pool. The swimming pool is clean, the garden has tables to have lunch, which is very convenient if you order a delivery. You can also get your laundry done right at the villa and we got room cleaning every time we needed it. Even when my girlfriend wanted something unusual, the owner helped her with all her needs. As for the breakfast, it was made fresh every morning: we had some eggs, fruit, sausages, toasts with jam and butter and hot drinks(tea, coffee, milk). And we got some small gifts too!
