La conexión a Internet era muy buena y el concepto coliving genial.
Cocina muy bien equipada.
Las goteras en las zonas de las escaleras y que el baño que me tocaba compartir tenía la cerradura estropeada, pero la arreglaron rápido.
The scenery is beautiful, the upkeep of the home is great, could be a bit more weather proof near the roof rooms as it become quite wet when raining but it was a beautiful relaxing place to do some work if you are needing a quite space to work and travel
It was good definitely an adventurous room the budget single room, a bit of a safety risk in the rain with slippery metal winding stairs but other than that it was ok. Was a little hard the location to find but other than.
Great wifi, includes bicycle that is free to use which was really helpful seeing as it’s a little bit far from some places. Nice common spaces. Good place to work. Super friendly staff. There was still enough restaurants around to get by. I mainly stayed here to surf gas stations break nearby as it’s very close but then discovered there’s not really any board rentals nearby. If you stay it would really benefit to have a scooter. Then it’s a really great option and solves my issues. There’s an upstairs area as well that you can do yoga or exercise and borrow yoga mats.
They don’t have a/c for environmental reasons which I respect, but in saying that it was still very hot at times. And yes plenty of fans but then you have loud fans on all the time. But it’s not a big deal, with windows open it was comfortable.
I spent 4 days at Colive as part of a month long trip in Sri Lanka. As I was doing remote work, the facilities here were fantastic, with a dedicated work space and great, reliable wifi which uses solar back-up to enable connection even during power cuts which happened twice during my stay. I stayed in a separate bungalow which was lovely and had hot water shower and toilet.
Right next door is the fantastic and rightly popular restaurant, Manori's kitchen.
All the staff here were great, really helpful and sociable and responsive.
In terms of value for money, as a co-work space and residence, it's unbeatable.
Honestly, I wish I'd booked for longer.
Just for full disclosure, there was a bit of noise from neighbouring places at night, so not the best for those seeking an early night, but for myself, I was extremely happy with my stay here.
Room was nice, though a little overpriced for what you get. Staff were friendly and helpful.
This particular room was a little isolated from the main building/area.
The coliving spaces are alright, with a relatively well equipped kitchen and a nice pool.

Unfortunately our stay here was rather disappointing. We had booked a room with a balcony but upon our arrival the staff told us that the only room that was available didn’t have a balcony, and that the description on booking needs to be updated.
The room we got was unbearable hot. We knew that the room wasn’t going to have AC but even two fans didn’t manage to cool down the room. And we couldn’t keep the windows open at night as there were too many mosquitos and no mosquitos nets at the windows or above the bed. On top of that, the neighbour’s dog didn’t stop barking for the whole 4 nights that we were.
The coworking situation is mediocre. Most of the chairs in the coworking space are broken and in general the work area doesn’t seem to be well taken care of. We wanted to take some more sensitive work calls from our room but it was just too hot and the table and chair in the room are too uncomfortable to sit with a laptop.
The place definitely has a lot of potential, but at the moment is not what it could be.

There was no breakfast there but we can use kitchen to prepare something: we can use tea coffee and some snacks as well

We had a great stay at Colive, so good that we even booked a week longer! Everyone who works there is so lovely. It was nice to have access to fast internet, a kitchen and a pool. It’s the perfect setup for digital nomads who needs to do some work but also want to enjoy their time in Sri Lanka.
The fridge in the kitchen could be cleaned but apart from that everything was very good :)
Such a beautiful property in a tranquil area. The staff is wonderful and the facilities exceeded my expectations. Super beautiful design, the villa is spatious and perfect to meet other digital nomads. I stayed in the separate building which was lovely and I could use everything in the villa. Great perks such as bicycles and a washing machine.
There's no AC in the room but the design is very breezy so I didn't feel hot. Sometimes you hear music/talking from the restaurant next door. I was worried the location would be far away from Ahangama center but there are a lot of nice cafes and restaurants walking distance.
I very much liked the spaciousness of my room, the community areas as well as the wonderful garden and pool and rooftop terrace. Enjoyed a lot the location of the property, felt like in the midst of the jungle. Awesome! On top I loved the good vibes thanks to an amazing team managing the property as well as the community co-living there.
