Pros:

We had an unforgettable stay at the Horizon. Waking up in the jungle to see monkeys in the trees was out of this world! The staff were incredibly helpful, and made a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. My room had stone features which really made it unique. Dalawella and Turtle beach are within walking distance or you can tuk-tuk / taxi to Unawatuna. We would definitely return.

Pros:

Le site est agréable, en pleine nature. Personnel sympa, bon petit déjeuner.

Cons:

Pas de resto sur place, mais compenser par une excellente adresse à 5 minutes à pied. La montée pour accéder de la route à l’hôtel est très raide, même certain tuk tuk refuse de grimper.

Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und waren insgesamt zufrieden.

Der Check-in verlief reibungslos und das Zimmer war bereits fertig. Positiv waren Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher und zwei Flaschen Wasser.

Der Pool war schön, wenn auch etwas schattig. Die Außenanlage war ebenfalls ansprechend gestaltet, leider gab es dort einige Mücken.

Insgesamt eine gute Erfahrung. Preis-Leistung minimal erhöht, daher 8,5 von 10 Punkten.

Cons:

Für ein Vier-Sterne-Hotel hätten kleine Extras wie Tee oder Kaffeepulver das Ganze noch abgerundet.

Das Frühstück war lecker, aber etwas schmal für diese Kategorie – ein Smoothie oder eine Obstplatte wären eine schöne Ergänzung gewesen.

Pros:

Clean rooms. Comfortable bed. Beautiful view from the room and excellent service from the staff. Good breakfast.
Great little restaurant/cafe to the left of the front exit. Super cheap prices & good home-cooked Srilankan food with a friendly service.

Cons:

Extremely (long), and *very* steep hill to the hotel, some tuk-tuks refuse to go up.
There are also lots of steps to the pool and restaurant. Leaves fall on the steps and can become slippery when wet.

Ожидания не оправдались, еще раз сюда не приехали бы
Pros:

Из плюсов красивая большая территория, хоть отель находится на горе, но ощущение жизни в джунглях, вот это понравилось.
Заселили раньше на час, что тоже стало плюсом.

Cons:

Было несколько минусов, которые испортили впечатление о пребывании.
- при заезде нам не дали сдачу (50$), пришлось напомнить администратору об этом повторно, чтобы получить деньги.
- за 3 ночи в отеле ни разу не было уборки, хотя при заезде нам сказали что убираются раз в 2 дня.
- нет горячей воды в душе, душ находится на улице и когда идет дождь - приходится купаться в холодной воде под дождем, не предусмотрен навес.
- на завтрак нам предлагали только яйца, и когда мы случайно услышали, что другим гостям делают панкейки - были удивлены, т.к. нам их даже не предложили. Сам завтрак скудный, нет ни овощей ни фруктов, только яйца, картошка, грибы и тостеры, ну и напитки.

Avskiljt och mysigt hotell
Pros:

Det ligger lite avskilt, vilket vi gillar. Mindre hotell så mer plats vid poolen, ofta var vi helt själva. Supertrevlig och hjälpsam personal. Bra mat och frukost. Ta även en sväng nere i backen hos familjen som bor där, frun har hemgjorda kryddor och mannen kör tuktuk till bra priser.

Cons:

Det var trist att på de två dagarna vi var där så hade de helt slut på läsk, så barnen fick dricka vatten. De hade fruktjuice, men det gick inte hem hos mina barn. En simpel grej, men det gjorde att vi valde att äta på en annan restaurang den andra kvällen.
