Hotel Boutique Cenote Secreto Maya

I proposed to my partner here and I can not think of anywhere else in the world that would have been more special than at Cenote Secreto Maya.

I reached out to Salma beforehand to ask about making the proposal dinner very unique and romantic for the two of us and she and her team (Eddie and Manuel especially) were exceptional. It's hard to put into words just how spectacular an evening this was. It was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives and I am so thankful for Salma and her team for making it so memorable.

For context, My partner and I are travelling round Mexico and wanted to treat ourselves to a resort for a few days. The Cabins / Yurts are gorgeous and they provided a cot with a mosquito net for our 8 month old baby. The food was exquisite (both breakfast and dinner - the mango was the best mango I've ever had!). The cenote itself has to be seen to be believed. If you are as lucky as we were and have the cenote to yourself, it is one of the most surreal, jaw-dropping experiences. The jumping platforms are no joke! I loved the rope swing from 6m and many day visitors come and attempted the 10m and 12m jumps. I would love to see someone sign that waiver and do the 25m jump! There is a spa, an incredible tower above the jungle canopy to watch the sunset (or sunrise if your baby wakes up at 5am), and a pool / hammock area to discuss your upcoming wedding.

As if that wasn't enough, the chefs prepared a fireside dinner on our second night under the stars with marshmallows to toast (our engagement - excuse the pun).

I genuinely think this might be my favourite place on earth. Thank you Salma and the team. We will be back for one of our wedding anniversaries for sure!

Las cabañas son bonitas, con todo lo necesario. El entorno es salvaje y está muy cuidado. El cenote es fantástico y en nuestro caso pudimos disfrutarlo en solitario. Tienen juegos para pasar un buen rato. Comida local deliciosa. Personal atento y cariñoso que nos preparó una cena sorpresa 🫢

Absolutely stunning location. Staff are incredible and truely made our stay special. Dinner in the cenote and then roasting marshmallows over the fire, could not have gone better!

Pros: fantastic to have a Cenote to yourself,staff and owner very friendly and helpful,Bungalow/hut big and comfortable,lovely and very special to have a meal in a cave inside the Cenote,food was plentiful but average.Very quiet and relaxing if you can deal with the Cons!

This is really a magical place! We stayed for one night and spent the late afternoon in the cenote and had dinner right beside it. We were the only guests at the time so it was a very private experience. The cabana was beautiful. Very comfortable beds and a perfect mix of jungle rustic and contemporary design. I would highly recommend for those looking for a bespoke, unique, and peaceful experience that is off the tourist trail but also very close to Valladolid Staff were super friendly and attentive.

Deze locatie is een verborgen parel. De cenote is prachtig en even groot dan de publieke cenotes. We hadden de plek bijna heel de tijd voor onszelf. Je mag ook in de avond zwemmen. Ze maakten het diner klaar voor ons aan de cenote. Met lichtjes en zachte muziek. We konden ook een ceremonie aanvragen om onze huwelijksbelofte te vernieuwen. Niets wat we vroegen was teveel en de sterrenhemel kregen we er als extra bovenop! 🙏

Y cuando crees que ya hayas vivido todas las experiencias más increíbles -cena en el cenote, masaje maya, mirador, temazcal, exploración de grutas maya- descubres que también es posible hacer realidad cualquier deseo personalizado, Incluso un picnic privado nocturno en un cenote, bajo las estrellas, en un silencio interrumpido solo dal sonido de la fauna endémica que habita la selva alrededor del cenote.

Un lugar mágico, encantador y único, algo difícil de describir, tan especial que es difícil de describir, algo exclusivo para las personas que buscan algo ÚNICO! Una sensación de satisfacción indescriptible.

What a privilege to stay in such a beautiful place, the Cenote is wonderful! The atmosphere is very special and so peaceful- no group tours, in fact we had it all to ourselves and felt so lucky to swim in such a stunning ancient wonder. It is very remote, so you definitely need your own car, but it is worth the adventure to enjoy such splendid privacy and peace. The staff are so friendly and kind, the food delicious (jungle tacos were the best!) and the mezcalitas come in glasses as big as your head!! They set up dinner one night for us inside the Cenote, lit by hundreds of fairy lights, it is magical. The room was lovely - very clean with complimentary snacks and soft drinks, and most important - the bed is heavenly comfortable and we slept soundly in such a quiet environment. Thank you, we loved staying with you and wish we could have been there longer.

Vi havde den mest fantastiske oplevelse på dette sted. Personalet havde formået at skabe en meget intim stemming og man følte man havde fundet en perle i mexicos jungle. Cenoten er fantastisk og værelserne har vinduer ud til junglen, så man føler man sover i junglen. Personalet er så velkommende og behagelige og morgenmaden var virkelig god. Vi vil anbefale det til alle der skal til Yucatan. Tak for en oplevelse vi aldrig vil glemme.

Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es ist mitten in der Natur mit wunderschönen Cenote. Ein sehr idyllischer Ort, wo man sehr viel Ruhe hat. Das Personal war sehr herzlich, und das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Wir danken allen für den wunderschönen Urlaub.

Super schöne Anlage zum Abschalten und genießen. Das Personal ist traumhaft - wir wurden rundherum umsorgt. Die Cenote ist wunderschön und ruhig. Ein Platz zum Seele baumeln lassen. Wir waren 3 Nächte und haben jede Minute genossen.

Petite structure avec peu de logement, au calme, avec un Cenote sur place incroyable.

Zeer fijn verblijf gehad, zeer rustig gelegen. Eten en ontbijt ook lekker en setting voor het diner was magnifiek. Bedankt voor het aangenaam verblijf!

Very well-kept property — clean, tidy, quiet, and safe, with an amazing private cenote. Only three bungalows, each with a spacious room and a large, comfortable bed. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful — it’s worth listening to their advice upon arrival to learn about dining options and activities. A small restaurant operates during the day, and dinner can be arranged from 5 p.m. onwards by pre-ordering your meal. The cenote can be enjoyed privately after 5 p.m. and in the morning, and even during the day it’s rarely crowded, as it’s off the usual tourist route. A perfect place to enjoy peace and beautiful nature.
