Pros:

This was an amazingly, qwerky hotel. The most lovely attentive and friendly staff. Food was great and the communal areas are beautiful.

Cons:

You can not drive to the hotel in a normal car. Its a 20 minute ride on a tuc tuc or a 4 x 4 down a very bumpy track.
The rooms really let this place down. While the communal area is eccentric in a beautiful way, the rooms are like they've been furnished from your grandma's house clearance and feel a little bit grubby and unfinished.

Pros:

La décoration et l'ambiance bohème de l'hotel, le cadre, la décoration des chambres et les salles de bain originales. Nous avons été très bien accueillis et avons meme pu prendre un verre devant un feu de cheminée! de beaux souvenirs

Pros:

Wat een heerlijke spot is dit.
Voorlopig drie ruime kamers boven elkaar met een adembenemend uitzicht.
Bar/restaurant en de vele zithoeken hebben wat hippiestijl.
En het personeel is over enthousiast om je te verwelkomen en bij te staan.
Het ontbijt is prima. We aten er ook tweemaal en de laatste keer hun bbq. Zeer lekker en uitgebreid. Ze serveren bier & wijn.

Cons:

Vanaf Ella rijd je een tijdje bergop om dan via een onverharde weg tot bij Awsome Place te geraken. Het laatste stuk enkel mogelijk met tuktuks, dit voorlopig gezien er verbeteringswerken bezig zijn.
Er worden nieuwe woonsten gebouwd, de eerder geplaatste foto's stemmen misschien niet meer overeen met de huidige situatie.

Pros:

Veľmi štýlový hotel. Príjemná obsluha, mali sme sa tam skvele. Personal nám bol vždy nápomocný, keď sme potrebovali. Do hotela vedie nespevnená cesta a musíte sa prepraviť tuk tukom, čo ale nieje problém, z hotela prídu pre vás na hlavnú cestu a cesta trvá cca 10 minút.

Cons:

Trošku bolo cítiť zatuchnutý pach v izbe, ale to má problém veľa hotelov na Srí Lanke kôli vlhkosti.

Lovely location, swimming pool and food also very nice. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Weird loud vibration noise in our room(not air con) that kept us awake. Couldn't find any staff late on to sort it out, and they didn't seem to understand our complaint the following day.
We also thought the drinks were overpriced, most we paid while in Sri Lanka.

Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und relaxen.
Pros:

Kleines süßes Hotel mit klasse Pool, leckerem Essen und unglaublich nettem Personal mitten in der Natur. Es ist abgelegen, liegt in den Teefeldern und von hier kann man Wanderungen machen- Ziegen und Kühe laufen auf den Wegen, ein lohnendes Naturerlebnis, wenn Ella zu trubelig ist. Kann es uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Unique property, with excellent views, with only a handful of rooms
Pros:

Once there the view was breathtaking, very unique, friendly staff, excellent accommodation which is reflected in the cost. Food was great we had a set menu both nights which was 4 courses for 4500 rupees. It’s about 20 mins to the main rd which you have to get a tuk tuk ( provided by the hotel) very bumpy but we saw it as an adventure.

Cons:

If weather is bad , you can’t see the views! 😩

Wunderschöne Lodge mit toller Aussicht

Die freundlichen Mitarbeiter, die wunderschöne Aussicht, die Ruhe und das sehr gute Essen: wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt

Cons:

Die Anfahrt, aber dafür ist ja diese Lodge nicht verantwortlich. Ein Tuk Tuk wird kostenlos bis zur Straße gestellt.

AVOID!!! Beautiful view, that's ALL- we left feeling ripped off and angry
Pros:

I have never before written a bad review - but this took the biscuit. The view is incredible, and i feel is the reason for the highly inflated price for all food and drinks compared to everywhere else - even more than a 5 star villa with a butler!!!!! Service is poor and the bathroom is a danger zone. There are plenty of other places with gorgeous views who do deserve a visit (see my other reviews) Steer well clear.

Cons:

Confusing. The design is great, but executed cheaply and highly overpriced. The manager and i assume owner was onto us with an expensive set meal menu before we had even sat down. There is major building work going on which will ruin the view of the rear apartments - the selling point for staying there. It felt like an upmarket hostel with writing on the walls, something you'd expect while backpacking, not paying premium prices. We are pretty chill, but this felt like a joke. The novelty bathroom idea was great until you looked closer and saw a rusty nail sticking out of the shower and the filthy light switch in the room where the toilet was - which incidentally had a 'sterilised' band on it - again no attention to detail and disgusting and clearly never cleaned! We asked for help to book a safari at Yala the next day and the owner said would come back with help - never did and the next day asked us what we had booked - luckily we took it upon ourselves not to wait. This is normal practice in Sri Lanka and we booked many things the night beforehand with no trouble. Was there even coffee in the coffee?! There is no insulation on the roof, so you hear everything - again cheaply made but with a fab view - such a shame. The icing on the cake was the final bill where we were charged tax on EVERYTHING - even the room!! Such a disappointment and the worst experience in our 10 days and 6 hotels - everyone else was so helpful and kind, and food in much nicer hotels was nearly half the price and delicious, this was not good quality at all. Go somewhere else and tip well!!
