A lovelly riad in the heart of Essouria
Pros:

In the heart of the city. Interesting building full of charachter. We had the terrace so we could sit and watch the street. Brilliant breakfast.

Cons:

The room is only just big enough for the bed so very little storage space. It would be great to have a kettle as drinks in the riad only available until 9.30

Pleasant stay in Essaouira
Pros:

The Hotel Riad Gnaoua is located just inside the walls of the Medina and easily accessible from nearby parking lot.
The rooms were cozy with space for clothing storage. Unfortunately, the bed was quite firm (not a comfortable sleep).
The bathroom was clean and functional.

Cons:

Unfortunately, upon our arrival, our son's room had an odour of chemical from nearby room being repaired. While the smell did dissipate, the gentleman at reception was rude and basically called him a liar by claiming that there was no smell. A more appropriate response would have been appreciated ... in the customer service industry, politeness goes along way.

Overall a great time
Pros:

Great breakfast although exactly the same everyday. Very friendly and sweet stuff.
Comfy beds, in the main Medina road, so rooms with windows will get some pumping life sounds which we really enjoyed though. Beds are comfy. Water pressure not crazy but water was warm, typical riad vibe, beautiful terrace

Pros:

Está muy bien ubicado, en una de las calles principales. La habitación perfecta: limpia y con un baño completo. El desayuno espectacular y el personal muy amable. Una parte de la terraza está cubierta y desayunamos allí porque hacía viento. Muy acogedor. Nos guardaron las maletas porque dimos una vuelta antes de marchar.

Es war größtenteils schrecklich.

Das Frühstück war gut, die Lage sehr zentral.

Cons:

Im Zimmer waren Wasserflecken an der Wand! Im Bad hat es nach Schimmel gestunken. Die Dusche hat getropft, der Duschvorhang war ekelig, das WC war zu nah an der Wand.

I liked the great way we were dealt with by the staff including the man at the reception and the women preparing breakfast on the rooftop. They were great in their communication and everything. I also liked the breakfast in terms of quantity and quality. It was a very good Amazigh Breakfast.

Cons:

I didn't like the old furniture in the room, the decoration, the dirty rugs on the floor. The towels, the blankets, the covers of the bed, etc. were very old and over over used. The walls and the doors have to be painted, especially on the rooftop, and the old beds and covers and mattresses have to be thrown away and changed with something new and comfortable. The hotel will be great if it is taken care of. Try to renew things and at the same time keep the traditional Moroccan touch.
