Really peaceful stay in an individual city hotel. Lovely large bedroom.
Pros:

Lovely quiet location in the ciry centre. Buffet breakfast was OK but not well stocked.. Had to keep requesting refills of coffee and food. Biut staff very obliging.

Very pleasant hotel in the center of the city.
Pros:

It a nice hotel in a good location with respect to visiting city highlights, like the square and the museums. Rooms seem to have been refurbished recently and were great. Breakfast area feels a bit outdated but it has local atmosphere. The breakfast is great - particularly in comparison of what I saw on the road trip. Reception was also very kind in helping coordinate my trip back to the airport, and also in keeping some of my luggage while traveling to the countryside. Prices seem to vary a lot, so book in advance.

Location is very central. The room was spacious enough.

Cons:

The hotel is a bit outdated. You need to go up the stairs to get to the elevator: not very practical with heavy suitcases. The storage room was full and they could not store our luggage; however, staff was kind enough and we asked them to keep our luggage at the reception, which they did. The shower doesn’t have a door, so you have to shower very carefully otherwise water will splash everywhere and the floor will be completely wet. Breakfast is modest, for this money I would expect more variety. Also, it’s mainly oriented to the Korean visitors. Coffee was good though. They also served cheese and feta for breakfast which other hotels didn’t.

Great option in central Ulaaanbaatar
Pros:

Centrally located in Ulaabaatar, just ten or fifteen minutes walk fron Sükhbaatar Square, Hotel Bayangol looks the typical Soviet-style block, but the rooms are clean and comfortable, with everything you need (kettle, AC). Front desk staff were pleasant and efficient, changed some US dollars for us, and helped us when we needed to find a hospital(!) The beds in particular were very comfortable, especially after two weeks in gers!
The attached Bayangol Restaurant does a slap-up buffet breakfast, complete with eggs station and a surprisingly good selection of other breakfast goodies.

Отель расположен центрально. Номер соответствовал фото и был довольно чистый. Завтрак был хороший и разнообразный.

Cons:

При заселении девушка, обслуживающая нас вела себя не очень вежливо по отношению к нам.

Great location and that's why you stay here.
Pros:

This hotel has a great location in Ulaabantaar, can walk in many different directions and explore the city. The rooms are only ok, our room in particular was really not that nice, the other members of our party had a room that was more updated than ours, but either way you stay here for the location not for the hotel room. The breakfast was good, and after 14 days on the road we were quite happy to have laundry service available, not overly expensive, and a joy to have it done for us.
