Rien. Tout était parfait.
+ relaxed atmosphere
+ friendly guesthouse owners
+ rich, varied breakfast; lunch and dinner optional
+ different rooms, from simple to cozy, all neat and clean
+ roof top terrace, breathtaking views into the mountains
+ ideal for hiking
- booking's description of location is completely wrong (several km away and several-100s m to climb), difficult to get there and once there it is far away from restaurants, shops, infrastructure to prepare hikes (guide agents, equipment shops, …)
- though the real location has its charm, people must know what and where they book
*** not clear wether it's the booking's or guest-house's fault, whatever: it must be sorted out! ***
Location of accomodation on the booking map is wrong. The property located in Armed, not in Imlil. You need to take 20 minutes of poor quality montain road and walk steppy village trail to reach the accommodation.
Contact phone on the booking belonging to the person who doesn't work in this place anymore. Fortunately he responded and gave the right contact.
As I arrived in Imlil at 8 p.m. the property responded that transport from Imlil to Armed has stopped. I had a car but what if not?
When booking, we did not realise that this was a separate mountain/ hilltop and not in Imlil. At first, when we had to take an additional taxi and then walk up a hill, got a little lost, with tired and half sick kids I wondered what I had gotten myself into... but when we stepped into the place, it was so amazing. It was both cosy and open and spacious. Helpful staff, both for our stay there and also helped tell us about how to find walking routes around the area. Through that we discovered that walking to Imlil was an amazing walk through walnut groves, past a popular waterfall where you can enjoy, take a shower in the icy watertfall, drink fresh orange juice and eat a meal of tagine.
The hotel is on the top of a hill that is a Berber village. Staying here and walking through the village, seeing people going about their days and discovering the area was amazing. Views, absolutely breathtaking. We found a stream to play in (walk upstream a little for the cleanest verson). We had planned a two night stay and had to move on, but all the kids and myself wanted to stay longer and it really was a highlight of our 3 week stay in Morocco.
Next time, it would be great to go on some longer organised hikes to really take advantage of being so close to the highest mountains - Toubkal was perfectly visible from the terrace!
Absolutely loved my stay here! The hospitality was truly outstanding – warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. The authentic Berber food was a highlight, full of rich flavors and beautifully prepared. The rooftop views were breathtaking, especially at sunset, and made every meal feel extra special. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that made the stay even more enjoyable. The service was excellent from start to finish, and the added bonus of reliable WiFi made it even better. I genuinely can’t recommend this place enough – I’m already counting down the days until I return!
Staff was amazing especially Mr Oussama . he was very polite and helpful , couldn't ask for me .
The staff were fantastic. Super friendly and helpful. Amazing meals. The location is hard to get to and you should call them before so they pick you up from the village. But the view is 100% worth it:)
My stay was great. The staff was very hospitable and very accommodating. The meals served were very homely and comforting. It was the perfect escape from everyday routine. I got to disconnect from social media and enjoy the calm and quiet.
Nothing comes to mind really. The road up was a bit rough but the staff were very accommodating and helped with that.
Dinner was great, staff was friendly and knew the area. DO NOT FOLLOW THE BOOKING > COM DIRECTIONS.
