The location on the beach is very dreamy, you can hear the big waves at all times - great spot onto Punta Cometa!!!
The presence of the pool is also very convenient to cool down as the ocean is quite rough!!!
The room was spacious and the bed was nice and comfortable!!
One thing to note is that the hotel is a bit remote from the center of Mazunte.
It’s super pretty with a nice staff.
It’s a bit far from town, but that can be a good thing if you’re seeking quiet.
The manager was friendly and helpful, no problem with the staff at all. They leant us a parasol for a day at the beach and when there was an issue with the safe they were quick to assist.
The pool wasn't super clean, the bar closes at 4pm and there is nothing available after this time. No food available at all. This is a nice hostel but for those expecting a hotel, it isn't.
Loved the location and the room. Staff was very helpful and kind.
Swimming pool needs to be cleaned.
Great beach location, quiet, perfect for relaxation.
No restaurant or food service at all, which is different from the description. As it is outside the city, it is inconvenient that you are unable to even get breakfast. It is more like an AirBnB than a hotel.
I loved everything about Casa Torito. It has been the highlight of our trip and can’t wait to come back.
I liked absolutely everything

1. I liked that the property is right on the beach. Literally steps away from the deep blue sea. You see nothing but the ocean and the waves coming in and out. Beautiful view of the pelicans gliding by the waves and if you’re lucky you’ll see rays flipping out of the ocean and doing belly flops!
2. I loved the communal kitchen! Even though our booking had a personal kitchen in it but preferred using the big kitchen since it’s got everything in it and you make friends there as well.
3. I liked that this beach isn’t a busy beach because it’s not that easy to get to because the roads are still dirt roads and bumpy at this point. So not too many people. Not loud or crowded at all. No one would interfere your view of the ocean or the sunset. Very private.
4. I love the dog from the property. He’s such a gentleman and a protector. I felt in love with him and was sad to leave the property. I gave him lots of pets and bid him a farewell in the end. I hope to see him again but he looks quite old. But he’s so loving and protective. He would chill with us on the beach and stand up right away and stand in front of us ready for any confrontation when there’s a random dog approaching us. Love him.
The only thing I didn’t like was the falling sleeping part. It was a bit difficult at first because of the sound of the waves crashing. It feels much louder at night probably because everything else is quiet. It took a couple of sleeps to adjust to the sound. My boyfriend and I had our headphones on and listened to our usual podcast channels and fell asleep that way. Once we’re used to it, it’s all good!
The location on the beach was beautiful. It is a beautiful quiet beach and the perfect place to take in the sunset. A lovely place to sit under a shaded lounge and read a book. Jose was an attentive host and helped us with everything we needed.
A trek away from restaurants but the location was well worth it.
It’s a beautiful boutique hotel with very spiritual decor, and it’s got a total ZEN going on. It is literally steps from the beach and I can hear the ocean all night from my room which looks out onto the water. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I had an emergency situation involving my lost wallet and keys. JOSE and Cecilino who are on-site, came to my rescue to help me resolve the problem as quickly as possible. The hotel was prepared to let me stay a few extra nights if I needed to until I would be able to solve the issue . Thankfully, my belongings were retrieved intact.
I liked everything about the property
Location and room were amazing.
The internet went out for 24 hours, and with it the AC and comfort.
Good value
The style, the location, the pool, the view, the walk into town (I’m a walker) the sound of the ocean is powerful but so wonderful
Everything was super nice and comfortable, I only wish I could have stayed longer
I liked that it was right on the beach l, the comfiness of the bed and size of bedroom.
When booking this place I did not realise that in order to get in to the town at night, you have to walk for about 20 minutes up a dirt track with no lighting at all so it’s in the pitch black, and up a very steep hill. There are a few taxis in the day but at night they are nowhere to be seen, meaning that if you go out one evening and come back a bit later you have to brace yourself and expect a long walk in the darkness which is pretty scary. It was of course great to be by the sea but the sea there on Mermejita Beach is so rough that the waves are super loud and I would say not relaxing, and just keep you up at night. It’s something we got used to but initially was slightly frustrating. I normally love the sound of waves but this was a little too loud - almost like a constant roar. The hotel does not provide dinner which is also annoying which means you have to venture out every night and do the long walk there and back to the town. I think you are mainly paying for the view with this place if I am honest!
Great pool and location. Small and quaint place.
Access to food was limited to daytime.
We felt welcomed right away at the Casa Torito Mermejita. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated on the most beautiful and more quiet beach in Mazunte, which makes it a beautiful place to relax. Here you can also enjoy the sunset everyday just from the sunbeds. Despite this, it only took us a 10 min walk to the centre of Mazunte with lots of options for cafés and restaurants. Our room had an amazing view to the beach and the beds were one of the most comfortables ones we had on our trip. We can really recommend the Casa Torito Mermejita.
Great location, great attention from the staff. One of the great things is that you sleep hearing the sea as you have it literally next door. Everyone from the hotel was super helpful (Except for the owner / manager)
The Owner / Manager was very rude with us and many of the hotel guests. It is really dififcult to arrive to the hotel as there is no clear signage to get to the location and even when getting there, there is no sign or name that there is the hotel. The roads to get there are unpaved so try to rent an SUV to move easier. The electricity is unstable so the Internet access keeps dropping constantly, if you need to work, or be connected to the internet AVOID at any cost the hotel. If your purpose is to have vacations, its an amazing place to stay.
