Best location, price and comfort for your money.
Pros:

Location location location. It is a nice hotel that I have been staying for the past 6 years. Grounds are Beautiful and the rooftop for Sunset is just amazing.
Love it!

Cons:

Beds could be a little more comfortable, but I am bit bias, since do like soft or super soft beds.

Great view from my room! Staff was nice.

Didn’t come on a weekend so it was quiet!

Cons:

Needs some lighting at night when walking back to my room as my room was in the far side.

Overall needs a bit of an update. Brown and red sheets are an odd choice.

I asked for another pillow bc theirs are soooo thick my neck was 2ft off the bed.

Overall all was good tho and I would stay again!

This will be my forever go to place when staying in el tunco
Pros:

The property is right along the beach in the middle of the main area in el tunco. The ocean view patio is perfect for watching surfers at both La Bocana and el sunzal point as well as sunsets. They have about 4 or 5 ocean view rooms and well as rooms with partial ocean view to garden view courtyard rooms. The ocean view rooms are above La guitarra bar which is the place to be if you like happening crowds and pumping music; especially Saturday nights. If you have one of the Ocean view rooms, you may not be sleeping until a bit later til about 1 am on weekends. It didn’t bother me because I expected it, and felt the room is great value regardless of the weekend music. The music ended about 10pm on weeknights when they were open. The pool area, while not opulent, is very chill and does the job. Breakfast was great. I paid for it to be included. I usually had a plain egg omelette, bacon, and sliced avocados with a glass of fresh OJ and cup of El Salvadoran coffee. (Free refill on the coffee) I had cinnamon french toast with sliced bananas and strawberries another day, fried eggs, the rice/beans mix, a slice of local cheese and toast. Options were good. Overall, La guitarra provides great value and a great location.

Cons:

No complaints because you totally get what you pay for. If I had to name something; probably the beds. But they were fine.

Me encantó quedarme en este hotel. Todo estaba muy limpio, el ambiente súper agradable y el personal muy atento. Me sentí cómoda todo el tiempo. Definitivamente lo recomiendo.

Iconic spot in an iconic place. It was exactly what we were looking for.

Seulement pour l’emplacement et durant la semaine
Pros:

L’emplacement est le plus gros point positif. La vue sur la mer est incroyable à partir des chambres sur la mer. Les couchers de soleil à partir de la terrasse sur le toit de l’hôtel vraiment le meilleur emplacement pour en profiter.

Cons:

C’était mon deuxième séjour à cet hôtel et la première fois cela s’était bien passé. Le bruit durant le week-end pendant la nuit venant du bar en bas et des bars sur les côtés, impossible de dormir avant 3:30, même avec les bouchons la « base » de la musique fera trembler votre lit. J’ai vu plusieurs coquerelles dans la chambre, heureusement quad je suis revenue au Canada j’ai laissé mes bagages au froid dans la neige car j’ai trouvé une coquerelle morte dans mon sac. Le dernier matin pour le déjeuner je croyais à tort que le resto ouvrait à 7:00. Je ne suis présentée vers 7:15, la dame m’a expliquée que le déjeuner débutait à 7:30. Avec mon copain nous sommes allés nous asseoir à l’extérieur et avons attendu patiemment sans jamais faire de commentaire ou autre. Lorsque nous sommes allés commander à 7:30 la femme nous a dit de ne plus arriver si tôt car ça lui met de la pression! En aucun temps nous avons mit de la pression ou fait de commentaire alors je crois qu’elle se met la pression toute seule!
