Near to the dive centre that we used - Critter Republic next door. The rooms are
We had several problems with our stay:
1. Our first room we had no water from late evening through the night, because the staff turned it off in order to fill the pond. They didn’t consider customers might want to shower in the evening, or even flush the toilet at night. We were then moved to another room, at the request of the owner who is a friend.
2. Initially no WiFi in our new room, and the excuse the receptionist gave was “it’s windy” - which has got to be the biggest load of BS ever, I mentioned I actually work in Telecoms and that’s not how WiFi works. To which no answer - to be fair she did then give me a code to a different WiFi router which did work
3. The biggest issue we had was the breakfast, we paid for B&B but unfortunately despite several requests to not put raw onion, spring onion or salad on my partner’s food (as he hates it). It should have been a simple request but every time his meal arrived with the items we specifically asked to leave out. Even eating plain toast with butter wasn’t an option, as the butter appeared to have onion residue in it. We ended up skipping breakfast for 3 days as it wasn’t worth the stress and disappointment, but decided to try it again for our last morning there - when we were told there was no bacon, no sausages and no baked beans that day. Basic breakfast staples, so there really wasn’t any excuse.
This hotel could be amazing, as where it’s situated is beautiful, but it’s let down by the poor general management, the restaurant staff don’t appear to be trained to any standard or given any direction. The staff do try, but honestly the manager doesn’t appear to care. Our friend who owns the Infinity property even called the Infinity manager to explain the issues we were having and ask them to improve, but said he was busy playing golf!
We also had an issue where the (wet room) shower was blocked for 3 days, and got worse every day, so by the day we checked out the whole bathroom floor was sopping wet.
My family had a great time at the resort. They said it was one of the best experiences they’ve had in Dauin!
The check in experience could be improved as my family didn’t know that the drinks in the fridge were free for guests to take.
It was a very welcoming landing in the Philippines for us.
The resort is beautiful, nice beach for snorkeling (a huge sea turtle just in front of the resort). The staff made an effort to upgrade our room, when we had a problem with the toilet in our original room. A good restaurant on the beach.
There is an active and well equipped diving center in the resort and 2 good swimming pools on the beach.
The standard room has no closet or other arrangement for clothes. The toilets were blocked several times and the water flow in the shower was very weak. As we wrote - the room upgrade (residency) solved it all.
The staff was very kind and helpful, and they were accommodating with our food restrictions. The establishment is beautiful.
Some of the room are excellent. Some are very poor.
So expensive for the Philippines . I booked 5 rooms and paid so much money. I thought I was paying for uk prices. Only two rooms are good.
Nice, reasonably priced accommodation with helpful staff
the restaurant had stray dogs with mange begging for food while we ate. The staff spent 10 seconds trying to encourage the stray dogs to leave when we asked. But the staff quickly gave up, and we had to spend the rest of our meal with these poor, unwell animals licking our legs. I had to cut my meal short and go back to my room to scrub and sterilise myself so I decided to forgo my included breakfast the following morning (I didn't want to go back to the same venue for breakfast)
Happy hour, complimentary breakfasts, peace and quiet, stunning ocean view, a variety of swimming pools, lots of towels; spacious rooms, big comfy beds, lots of pillows; lush green setting
The washroom. Shower was complicated to operate and water flooded whole floor; hard time flushing toilet. Items on food menu and bar list out of stock
Overall good place stay or bring kidd.
Little hidden. To find.
Very nice property, clean and new rooms with silent Air Con!
Restaurant with small portions (hardly enough for 1 person when it states for 1-2). Despite that prices are at the upper limit of normal PLUS 10% service fee as mentioned in small print at the bottom of the menu...
Transportation to Dauin and back difficult after 6pm. Best to arrange a tricycle in advance (or get the number of a driver..)
Friendly and attentive staff.
Restaurant food is served fast.
Housekeeping is somehow always incomplete.
- need to pay attention to replenishing items + replacing towels.
The location is a bit far from Dauin town proper - there’s nothing around it. If you have a scooter, it’ll take around 7min to Dauin town proper. But it shouldn’t be an issue for divers who plan to go diving only.
Nichts, habe 3 Nächte gebucht aber nach der 2. Nacht bereits ausgechekt
if you like stray dogs everywhere, this is the place for you.
The room was spacious, and I loved that there was a drying rack for wet gear. The bed was big and comfortable, and I also appreciated having two bedside tables. Prices were very reasonable too. And food in the restaurant was amazing.
The room could use some cabinets for clothes. And the shower could have better drainage.
