Pros:

Das Hotel hat sehr wohl seine Berechtigung an Ort und Stelle. Aber irgendwie ist es noch ein Stück entfernt von der Perfektion. Vieles ist im Werden ... und Ausblicke, Gemeinschafträume etc. haben Charme.

Hotel in the works with stunning views
Pros:

This place has a minimal retro feel. It feels like a rough diamond waiting to be polished!

The views for all the communal rooms, bedroom and terraces are fantastic and largely helpbmake up for the failings.

Our double room was a large spacious room with a high cork clad ceiling that we thought was pretty cool.
Thrle bed was comfortable although lacking a headboard for some reason that we doubted was a style aesthetic!

There was a cupboard with a kettle, cups (no spoons) & a small fridge.

It was spotlessly clean and the bathroom, although dated, was in immaculate condition. We would have liked a main light though as the small window and mirror lights weren't quite enough at times.

There is so much potential not yet realised here and I really hope the owner is up to the mammoth task!

Cons:

Is it a Hotel? Guest house? Ensuite rooms with a keybox! It really wasn't clear.
After the receptionist left there were no professional staff about to feel looked after as a guest, just 2 lads. There really was no sense of hospitality at all.

The bedroom doors aren't fire doors and did little to block out any noise. You can hear people in other rooms when in the lounge area!!

There was nowhere open to eat or drink on site or nearby as were all closed. Thankfully we had brought food as had been travelling round self-catering or else we'd have been in trouble.

We had to laugh as wondered, "have we died"?!!! When sat in deafening silence in a 'The Shining' type venue minus the snow!

It is a unique place and we were glad to only be staying one night!

Gedateerd Hotel op een fantastische locatie met geweldig personeel!

Geweldig mooi uitzicht
Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel
Lekker ontbijt

Cons:

Het Hotel is oud en wordt gerenoveerd. Maar het is nog niet af.
Dat is soms even lastig met klemmende deuren en dergelijke.

Pros:

Herrliche ruhige erhöhte Lage am Stadtrand von Monchique, schön renovierte alte Substanz mit modernen Komponenten kombiniert.
Schöner Pool; wir hatten ein großes geschmackvoll renoviertes hohes Zimmer mit Balkon 40 qm, herrlich! Fantastisches Frühstück mit frischem Obst und viel Auswahl. Super nettes Personal und hervorragendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Cons:

Nichts zu beanstanden.

Bien juste pour une nuit !!!
Pros:

Vue sympa depuis les endroits communs . L'océan vu de loin . Literie correcte .

Cons:

L' hotel devrait faire des travaux , vieillot , certainement repris depuis peu . Petit déjeuner à améliorer , des produits de grandes surfaces , vraiment pas bon .

Hotel situado no meio da serra ...paisagem é linda ..
Com bom tempo ,passa se bem na piscina para relaxar.

Cons:

Por ser serra ,o tempo é sempre incerto.
As deslocações terão que ser feitas de carro.
Preço/qualidades fica puxado sem o pequeno almoço incluído,para a época (maio).
Não tinham o multibanco a funcionar ,nem um mbway disponível.

Sensationeller Blick
Pros:

Das Hotel ist unter neuer Leitung. Die Zimmer und Bäder sind frisch renoviert und haben einen Balkon mit tollem Blick bis zum Meer. Toller Pool und sehr freundlicher Empfang

Cons:

Beim Frühstück wären mehr lokale Produkte schön. Die Teekannen sind zu groß und passen nicht unter den Heißwasserauslass der Kaffeemaschine.

Really enjoyed the peace and quiet, wonderful hospitality and good value for money
Pros:

Breakfast was excellent, Awesome view from room, large room, good balcony, very quiet hotel. Lovely shared/ lounge areas with great views. Wasn't warm enough to use the pool. Steven was excellent host, catering to all our needs and very receptive. Reasonably close to Monchique and restaurants, far away enough to be quiet.

Cons:

Hotel entrance/ car park was a little hard to find. But once we found it very easy access
