Avoid This Place at All Costs!
My stay at Seacroft Bamboo Village was one of the worst accommodation experiences I have ever had. The property is extremely poorly maintained and honestly felt unsafe.
The bamboo hut itself was old and badly constructed. The bed was dirty, and the door could not even close properly, which meant insects were constantly getting inside. Because of this broken door, the smell from a nearby fire pit filled the room continuously. To make things worse, the door had to be secured with a chain just to keep it closed.
The shower didn’t work properly. Although the host was informed, nothing was fixed. Meanwhile the shower kept dripping constantly, leaving the bathroom wet and humid all the time.
There was also no real reception, which made communication difficult. The lady checking us in could not speak English properly.
Coconuts were constantly falling from the trees around the hut — sometimes even hitting the roof — which was incredibly loud and honestly felt dangerous.
The worst part happened after I reported these issues. The next day there was only a moderate rainfall, yet the entire bungalow flooded. The roof leaked through multiple holes and rainwater poured through the windows. The bed got soaked and water covered the entire floor. If we had not been in the room at the time, all of our electronics would have been destroyed. I have photo and video evidence of this.
There were also large stray dogs constantly roaming the property. They bark aggressively whenever you approach your bungalow and bark all night long, waking you repeatedly. One night the host was shouting at the dogs at 2 AM, waking everyone up.
Dog droppings were also everywhere on the property, which made walking around extremely unpleasant.
The host was rarely available and seemed to spend most of his time sitting in the reception area watching TV at very high volume late into the night, which we could hear clearly from our bedroom.
Great location .i Wes first in K P 93 ,this takes me back there original K P ,although they do have en suits with hot water .If you’re looking for the old ways then try it ,little pricey for what you get .but hey ho
Needs maintenance

The bed was comfortable and I like the traditional style bamboo cabin . Location is ok but Hing Kong is not a swimming beach so you need a bicycle or moped to get to beaches . Or share taxi of course which is close. Best Bicycle hire just next door , big bonus !
The owner so rude and nasty on my first day .. telling me to “sue him “, after I asked him to board up the broken window !!!! And fix the door lock !!!! the woman who runs it had a melt down and a tantrum when I asked her very sweetly if my room could be cleaned …. The bathroom has such old dirt and dust and cobwebs ,,, same as the main room… Needs A DEEP CLEAN .
Never have I experienced staff having a tantrum before their task! It her job to look after the place .
Otherwise she was friendly . !
You could hear birds singing all night long.
Tony (owner? Manager ?) was very helpful organising our arrival.
Worn off bungalow, very small and extremely dirty . It hadn’t been cleaned before our arrival , we left after the first night with 2 nights remaining.
Tony didn’t seem to care about it at all.
I really enjoyed my stay at Seacroft Bamboo Village.
It’s such a calm and natural place — surrounded by coconut trees and greenery.
The bungalows are rustic but comfortable, with a nice open-air design that makes it feel close to nature.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, always around if you needed something or just wanted to chat about things to do on the island.
Overall, Seacroft has a really special charm — it’s not a luxury resort, but that’s exactly the point. It’s simple, sustainable, and full of heart. Would definitely come back!

Leider nichts
Very authentic chill place. We felt close to nature, and hosts were super friendly. The budget hut is of course quite small, but there is everything you need, great bang for bucks.
The shared toilet and garbage bin in there could be cleaned a bit more often. Didn’t happen once during our five days.
nothing
Tony's (Owner) hospitality is on a different level.
Great quite place to chill and to enjoy panghan!
Loved this place. The huts are very cosy. The balcony is the perfect place to chill. Palmtrees everywhere. The bed was lovely. The view very nice and the best places to have some dring and food just across the road. Hosts were very friendly helping you out and made sure you were ok!
As a licensed dog behaviourist I want to assure that the dogs are NOT aggressive like some people write in their reviews. They don’t attack, they bark because they guard the place. That’s wat dogs do, it should give us some comfort. They are shy/untrusting towards strangers people and there is no way they are dangerous!
Something was broken but Tony did everything to fix it. There was some construction going on after the floods which was noisy. But that’s out of your power after the floods. Im glad they sort that out, they have to, its mother nature!
The huts were spacious and close to the main areas and beaches. The location was quiet, set off the main street, and surrounded by greenery, which provided a nice sense of privacy. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were much better than in most other places we stayed. One thing we really appreciated was the storage space, which is often overlooked in similar accommodations. Tony and Noi were very helpful and welcoming. The bamboo hut itself felt much more natural and comfortable compared to a typical concrete room. The fans were sufficient, and we didn’t even need them at night.
There wasn’t anything significant that we disliked.
