Pros:

The facility and neighbourhood, fantastic.
The restaurant staff ( James) was fantastic

Cons:

Rate was different from booking.com usd955 per night and at the reception (usd1,300 per night)

Beautiful gardens, luxury accommodations and terrific service in an amazing location!
Pros:

Fabulous design, gardens and service, warm hospitality, good food and enjoyable evenings of music , dance and barbecues by the fire… perfect base for trekking !

Cons:

It’s a bit expensive but very nice. The gym area could use some work and the property really begs for a pool or heated jacuzzi, but overall it’s a gorgeous luxury hotel in an ideal location with superb service!

Cons:

It was pricey but for seeing the gorillas is was the perfect place to stay.

Great hotel to stay and relax a bit before/after gorilla trekking.
Pros:

The greenery around the villas, the kindness of the staff, the massage chairs, the relatively sizable gym, the fluffy sweaters, plenty of water

Cons:

Dining room felt very empty and cold, food was decent, too much visible staff in the dining room made the atmosphere a little uncomfortable

Very comfortable and pleasant.
Pros:

Food is very good. Planting alongside rooms is beautiful. Rooms are separate villas and are huge. with excellent bathrooms, also huge. Staff are extremely helpful. Good location near to national park. Quiet. Spa will be a great addition when it opens.

Cons:

New hotel and still a little bit characterless. Needs more warmth and colour although money has been spent on great beds and good sofas. It was cold when we were there and there is no heating although staff quick to provide a spare heater and hot water bottles.

Pros:

The resort met all my expectations and I was impressed with my stay. The welcoming was superb. I was offered an upgraded superior room which was super clean and specious with great amenities. The food was what i expected and the indian Chef Mr Vinod did a great job in preparing my vegetarian meal. All staff were super friendly and everything was taken care of. I will definitely return to stay at Virunga Inn.

Perfect resort for gorilla trekking
Pros:

A beautiful resort with excellent location just few minutes away from Gorilla park. I was warmly welcomed by friendly staff up on arrival Mr Bienfeit organized my park activities for gorilla trekking which was amazing. The food was great and i was treated with the authentic and delicious arabic cuisine, thanks to the Chef. Rooms and amenities were top notch. Overall my stay was great and would highly recommend.

Pros:

Really wonderful staff who went above and beyond during our stay! Shout out to Bienfait for being so helpful in arranging transport, activities and currency exchange.

We stayed at this hotel, the room was beautiful, clean, luxurious, spacious.
Exactly what we were looking for.
The staff, especially crystal was amazing. She took care of us so well, and we would definitely be returning to this hotel.

A perfect place to stay in Kinigi
Pros:

The staff in this recently opened property are very attentive and made for a memorable stay.
The accommodation, in chalets, is laid out in an idyllic garden with so many flowering plants attended by so many brightly coloured birds, it is so relaxing.
The rooms are spacious and well appointed, the beds are the best.
We enjoyed our food although more variety in menu would be appreciated.
It is handily located for the Volcanoes NP and the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Foundation.

Cons:

More variety on the menu.
