I would definitely stay here again. Very convenient and friendly staff.
Pros:

Lydmar is a nice boutique Hotel near La Ropa beach(about 8 minute walk). It is in an area frequented by Canadians and Americans, so it seems like a very safe place. The staff is nice and helpful an the rooms were cleaned every day. The hotel was also on the main road so public transportation to the main road was literally right outside the door. They allowed us to borrow pool towels to take to the beach. The rooms themselves are nice, everything is tile. The pool and the ground also seem well taken care of.

Cons:

I did not like all the rules related to electricity use and with the use of the AC unit hen you are not in the room. They asked if you could make sure you did not leave it on all day and to not push certain buttons because it may mess up the settings. These are things that I have rarely encountered in bigger hotels. The coffe pot had some sort of issue with closing that they told us about and needed to remember and the AC unit took a while to get going, which is surprising considering that the hotel does not look old at all.

Tried Hotel Lydmar for 3 days and had an excellent stay.
Pros:

Nice room and facility (pool, etc.). The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has very nice rooms that well designed and feature excellent tile and stonework. The pool and deck were also very nice. Close to a number of good restaurants and easy access to Centro bus.

Cons:

No water or ice dispensers at the hotel. A bit of a walk to La Ropa beach but not too far.

We loved Zihuatanejo and would definitely return to the Lydmar.
Pros:

We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and the king room we upgraded to had a well-stocked kitchen. We really enjoyed the lovely pool and outdoor seating area. La Ropa beach and great restaurants were a short walk away.

Pros:

Convenient location for La Ropa beach, hotel was exceptionally clean

Cons:

Beds were a bit too hard, needed a softer pillow. Better control of ceiling fan for speeds.

Disappointing for us but could have been better
Pros:

Spacious, nice pool

Cons:

When we arrived, they didn’t have record of our reservation through booking. At first they said they didn’t have the same room available, then they said they did but with a refrigerator that didn’t work properly. Never got fixed. Also we had the only room like ours with no TV in the living room which was very disappointing. Walk to beach is a little far, 6-8 min walking, but could be worse

Quiet retreat
Pros:

It's as advertised. Big unit with full kitchen, separate bedroom and lovely terrace.

The staff were great. Kudos to Isabel.

It is about 10 mins walk to La Ropa beach.

Cons:

Would have been nice if the entire unit had air conditioning. Only the bedroom had AC.
I found the bed a bit too hard.

Lovely place. Quiet with excellent WiFi
Pros:

Excellent location, and quiet room. Excellent WiFi with 299 MBps download speed.

Cons:

Shower temp and pressure weren't as good and hot as I wanted. But that's a me thing.

Room size & the pool, for a family, made it a good choice. But the staff made us feel comfortable.
Pros:

The pool was great.

We had the King Supreme room, so the size was good.

Location to La Ropa beach was decent. About a 8min walk. And close enough to good restaurants.

Cons:

The staff weren’t that friendly. Quite aggressive/authoritarian. They held us back from our airport taxi cause she wanted to count all our glasses /towels, for example.

The wifi was spotty. The Netflix at night for the kids usually didn’t work. We had to consistently reconnect.

Not a big thing, but our large suite only had one air conditioning unit in the bedroom.

Excellent service and comfortable stay
Pros:

The service was excellent, the room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Really affordable price and conveniently located to several shops and other hotels.
