Casa Bagus

Mano, the hotel manager is an absolute jewel. So welcoming and full of life. All the staff were extremely friendly. Of course being right on the beach with a shaded cafe off the reception area is pretty much like paradise. Vibe is homey not stuffy/ritzy and each room gets two reclining lounge chairs under an umbrella on the beach! Sliding glass balcony doors and screens in our room meant no bugs ever. AC and WiFI worked perfectly too. Very enjoyable three-night stay.

Such a great welcome from Mano. Perfect position on the beach. Comfortable room. Great restaurants nearby, including El Navigante and Resto Bar Del Fondo, with fish landed that day. Worth getting up at sunrise as the boats come in!
San Agustinillo is more charming than next door Mazunte.

Location on the most beautiful beach. Great views from the room and very clean.

We loved our room, the staff, and the restaurant. We switched from an Airbnb that was a similar price and this was a much better experience for us.

Such a fabulous small hotel- it was spotless, well-appointed, quiet, and included multiple little touches to make my stay really comfortable and easy. The location right on the beach is incredible and I loved being able to use the beach chairs during the day, and the terrace/hammock in the evenings. All of the staff were very welcoming, helpful, friendly, and accommodating. I was also thankful to be staying somewhere with air conditioning. Would highly recommend Casa Bagus for a wonderful stay!

Amazing location! There is no need to want for anything. The room was clean and comfortable. Mano, the manager, made sure we were treated like family.

What a truly exceptional experience for our multi-generational family of 6. From check in to check out our 4 night stay was wonderful. The staff was amazing, friendly and helpful, with extra special care taken to make sure our kids had a great time. The rooms were large, modern, clean and beautifully appointed. Literally steps from the beautiful beach with perfect sand, crystal clear waters and great waves for surfing! The AC was as cold as the delicious drinks at the on-site bar. Restaurante Perla Negra was a total bonus, great food all day long makes there no reason to leave! San Augustinillo and neighboring Mazaunte were great little towns with tons of restaurants, bars and shopping along with fantastically friendly people and laid back vibe. Thank you Casa Bagus for an unforgettable time, we will be back!

Beautiful property; right on the beach; swimmable beach relative to rest of the area (our 8 year old loved it but you cannot have them swim alone - water is rough relative to our regular New Jersey and Virginia Beaches. Too rough for our 5 year old but she loved playing in the sand and exploring the boulders around the beach).
The restaurant is lovely (8am-6pm and cash only).
The staff are amazing - super friendly and help you with anything you need.
They provide beach towels and bag for you and had communal sunscreen and filtered water out all day.
Restaurants, market, and wine shop in 5 minute walking distance.

The hotel is small and right on the beach. The staff was lovely and very helpful. The restaurant was great. Casa Bagus is a gem.
