Leider sehr enttäuschend, nach mehr als 40 Jahren Bergen aan Zee und vorherigen guten Erfahrungen im früheren Hotel Meye

Die Lage ist das, was das Hotel ausmacht

Cons:

Leider ein unschöner Empfang durch einen unfreundlichen Rezeptionisten.. Statt mir bei einer freundlich gestellten Frage behilflich zu sein, ließ er mich nach ein paar kurzen Worten einfach stehen. Auf eine explizit an den Geschäftsführer gerichteten Mail meldete er sich tatsächlich selber, vergaß aber bei seiner Schilderung zu erwähnen , dass er mich hat stehenlassen.
Bauarbeiten im Hotel ohne die Chance, selber entscheiden zu können, ob ich dann noch kommen möchte. 1 Tag vorher nachdem gerade die Stornofrist abgelaufen war, erhielt ich die Info, dass fassadenarbeiten stattfinden. Auf meine Frage an den Geschäftsführer, warum ich nicht rechtzeitig informiert wurde und noch hätte stornieren können, schob er das auf Booking.com. Man hätte keine email zur Verfügung gestellt. Booking.com hat eine eigene Plattform für Nachrichten zwischen Hotel und Gast und das funktioniert bestens. Zudem hatte das Hotel selber die Nachricht im Booking.com gesendet aber eben einfach viel zu spät.
Auf meine Nachfrage auf die Infomail, ob die Fassadenarbeiten Lärm morgens bedeuten, wurde mir schriftlich zugesagt, die Arbeiten würden erst ab 9.00 Uhr starten. Fakt war der Lärm startete um 7.40h. Der Geschäftsführer schob das auf die Bauarbeiter, mit denen man eine Vereinbarung habe, erst um 9.00 zu starten. Er war allerdings selber um die Zeit schon im Haus. Müsste er dann nicht der Erste sein, der seine Gäste schützt und die Arbeiter bitten, bis zur vereinbarten Zeit zu warten?
Das Bett 2m x 2.30m war für das kleine Zimmer viel zu groß. Man hatte nur ca 20 cm, um an Bett und TV vorbeizukommen. Für eine kleinere Person gerade noch so ok aber für ein Paar evtl. größer oder gewichtiger, sehr schwierig
Das Frühstück war nicht so gut wie bei den Malen davor. Evtl. lag es daran, das nur eine Handvoll Gäste da waren.

Hotel dichtbij zee, knus met goed ontbijt
Pros:

Het hotel wordt opgepimpt! Ziet er verzorgd uit! Het ontbijt was heerlijk en personeel erg vriendelijk.
De fietsen konden binnen staan.

Cons:

Kleine kamers, prima voor 1 nacht om te slapen maar niet om er langer door te brengen.

Verblijf Voor herhaling vatbaar.
Pros:

Heel vriendelijk personeel. Prima ontbijt. Locatie dichtbij het strand gelegen. Goede verlichting op de kamer en badkamer.

Cons:

Erg kleine nachtkastjes, niet erg handig.
Het restaurant was op zondag en.maandag gesloten.
