Todo muy bien
It was on the beach
Very filthy place. Room smelled like pee on 1 side. The toilet was dripping water all night on the floor so the only towel I had, I had to put on the floor. Only 2 sheets on the bed & the bottom kept coming off, no blanket and it was a chilly night. Everything in the room was very old & damaged holes all over the place & damage was painted over. Thousands of cobwebs in the room. Music blaring next door till 3am. Only plus was the staff was very nice but I guess they're desperate for customers. I'm an avid traveler in this region of Mexico & don't expect much with these budget places but this was disgusting. I would've left but this was a pit stop for the night & after 6 hrs of travel I was exhausted & was leaving the next day. Looked at their "nicer rooms" but they were just as bad. This place needs to be pulled off the Booking website.
We get the room with Aircon and fridge. Very comfy bed. Clean and tidy. Very good value. Super friendly stuff.
Nice beach view and sun rise & set beautiful sky!
Should better setup in exit yard facing Beautiful scenery. Like setup with fire pit even bbq grill & tools for cooking and providing paper plate & cup… for a bit of extra charges!
The little cabana was cute. Mattress on bed comfy. Pretty rustic. Had mosquito nets.
There was some confusion when I went to check in. They didn't show a booking. Booking .com said only a few cabanas left. It looked pretty empty to me Is this how you rush a person to book?
Very very noisy motos riding up and down pier, fast and loud. Also heard music until about 3 am
Nothing
If I could give zero stars I would! As a hobby traveler I know that this hotel administration is one of the worst I ever experienced! In the booking app you cannot find all the pictures of the rooms! But it says; entire house with living room! So I thought I had a small sleep room a bathroom and a small living room! Well, when I arrived there this wasn't the case.. it was a very old and small room ... So, I told them. I had booked something else and they called the owner which told the people at the reception to offer me, for the same price another room which looked better but of course it was just a room! In the booking it says there is a bathroom and there is a pic with a towel... There was only one towel available so I asked if I could receive a second one for my hand and face and I had to ask 5 times before I got it! They offer just one soap no shampoo!
But let me start with the worst which is about to come! Later on I also understood why they treated me the bad way they (he) did! When I arrived the man at the reception ( note that there is a family hosting for the owner) told me they will close the front gate at 11pm...I arrived at almost 21pm... and wanted later to go for a walk at the beach... I asked if I went out how can I open and close and he told me there is a way to go out but I will show you later ... Not sure why he did not show immediately! Until I got to my room I took a shower and prepared it was 11:15 pm. I went down to go out and of course the gate was closed... The garden around the hotel is quite big so I was going around to see where was the way to go out ... 10min later the man shows up and looks at me weirdly, I ask where is the way to go and and he shows me a smaller gate in the back yard where he puts only a rope to make it seem close and so I could go out and enter again. After 2 days as I have some people I know in Celestun a friend came to bring me something! We spoke for like 40min and he left.
The host was very accommodating, and it was on the quieter end of the beach, while still being close to town.
Double payment
Staff was great
Better bathroom better price
Best part is it's right on the beach, next to the pier, which makes for fun people watching. Their main biz seems to be renting bathrooms/showers- it was hilarious watching campers streaming in for their wad of TP. The little cabana was fine - very rustic but the fan was new, quiet and effective, and there was plenty of hot water. Others complained about the mosquito nets - we never put ours down so don't know if ours had holes or not. Maybe it was the time of year (early May) but mossies weren't an issue.
Like someone else said, they did not honor the bookings price. Charged us 726 pesos instead of 600 - she said it was the bookings fee. We went ahead and paid, then booked for another night the next morning directly. I asked for the 600 rate - we settled on 650. There are probably better places to stay for the money but the entertainment factor here was pretty high. And it's a great location.
The location was good, and the outdoor space around the cabin.
They charged us a 20% fee because we booked on Booking.com upon check in. It would have been 20% cheaper to cancel the Booking reservation and pay directly but they wouldn’t agree to that.
I barely had enough cash to cover it (only 1 ATM in the town), and was annoyed that the price Booking stated was not honored.
1 towel for 4 guests for 4 days. We had to buy shampoo, soup, and toilet paper too.
The place is located directly at the beach! It is very simple but comfortable. The only thing I missed was a mosquito net.
