My stay was good
Pros:

The hotel was good with smart and accommodating staff.
Cleanliness was a top notch.
The manager of the facility was a perfect definition of a humane person.

Cons:

The staff could not speak English so I found it difficult getting things done swiftly.
There was no inhouse restaurant so I had to always go out to look for food wit its attendant transport cost.

Estadia curta mas muito boa
Pros:

Do tamanho do quarto, do conforto da cama e das almofadas, do jardim e da piscina.A simpatia e disponibilidade do pessoal do hotel em ajudar. o o pequeno almoço também era óptimo, só faltavam uns ovos.um óptimo hotel para ficar em São Tomé, cidade.

O atendimento no segundo e terceiro dia foi bem melhor, haviam outros funcionários bem dispostos, simpáticos e acolhedores.

Cons:

No primeiro dia não fomos bem recebidas pelo funcionário que nos recebeu e isto ditou a primeira impressão do Hotel e do País. Foi pouco simpático, pouco útil, não tinha as respostas para as coisas e parecia não estar bem disposto.
O pequeno almoço tem poucas fontes de proteina, sem ovos. Apenas fiambre, iogurte e manteiga de amendoim como fonte de proteína.

Gute Unterkunft in der Hauptstadt. Ideal gelegen, alles ist fußläufig gut zu erreichen! Gutes Frühstück inclusive. Freundlicher und zuvorkommender Umgang.

Pros:

Emoyeni Gardens is a wonderful hotel because everything works exactly as it should. That is very clearly due to the excellent way Jane manages the place. You can feel her presence even when she is not there, which says a great deal about the care, thought and attention behind everything.

And when she is there, you have the chance to enjoy fun and interesting conversations, get plenty of excellent tips, and receive very practical help as well, for example with organising transport to the south.

Thank you very much for everything — I felt extremely comfortable and well looked after throughout my stay.

Pros:

Very confortable, well maintained hotel. Rooms are big and clean. The gardens are beautiful and a separate swimming pool area, open all the time. Main touristy restaurants are in walking distance ( important, since taxi is expensive). Breakfast is included, quite basic ( no vegetables or omlette or espresso), but with fresh fruit salad.

Cons:

It is a beachfront hotel, but the beach is across the street and it is public, one day it was way too crowded to swim there.

Wonderful stay in Sao Tome
Pros:

Lovely hosts - genuinely welcoming and helpful throughout. The onsite pub is a great touch. Beautiful sea views, a really nice pool (with towels provided), and the room was massive with toiletries which made a big difference. Breakfast was absolutely fine and did the job. Location walking distance to beach and restaurants. They also let me check out late, which was a lifesaver with a late flight - hugely appreciated!

Cons:

Nothing major at all. If I’m being picky, a few hot options at breakfast would be great. And whilst technically a sea view, my particular room was largely obscured by trees - still beautiful, just not completely open.

I had a great experience
Pros:

The hotel has beautiful gardens right by the beach, which makes it super relaxing. There’s a beautiful walking track, right next to the hotel and the beach, perfect for a morning or evening stroll or jog. The beds were really comfortable, and I slept so well. The staff, especially the manager, Alex, was amazing and made sure my stay was perfect. She even helped me avoid getting overcharged by taxi drivers, which I really appreciated.
The swimming pool is clean and about shoulder-deep, which was great for me. Just a heads-up though, if you swim in the evening, you might hear some dogs barking nearby. They’re in an enclosed area, so no worries, but they do bark when someone walks past.
The rooms were spotless and air-conditioned, which made them really cozy. I’d definitely stay here again when I’m back.

Cons:

Here are a few things that would make the hotel experience even better:
A microwave for guests – It would be great to have a microwave available at any time since the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant serving full meals. In São Tomé, the food portions are quite big, and I often couldn’t finish my meals. I had to take leftovers, but there was no way to warm them up because the restaurant was usually closed.
More breakfast options – It would be nice to have more variety beyond the standard continental breakfast. Maybe add eggs, sausages, bacon — or basically an option for a full English breakfast.
Receipts from the pub – It would really help if receipts could be provided for purchases at the pub, especially for guests who are there on business trips and need them for reimbursement or record-keeping.

Really nice place with great service
Pros:

Very nice, clean place with very nice and helpful people. I had a few logistical issues on the island in which the hotel helped me with swiftly and without surcharge! Bed was really comfy, everything worked in the room. The small pool and garden were lovely.

Cons:

For the price category the breakfast was a bit too simple, and the coffee not so great🥲 Blackout curtains would be appreciated.
