We had a wonderful stay at Vastu Boutique Hotel and would happily stay here again.
The location is excellent - close enough to walk to everything, with restaurants, shops, and laundry services nearby, yet tucked away enough to feel peaceful and relaxing. We always felt safe walking around the area, and one of our favourite things was simply wandering through the streets of Thamel and beyond, soaking up the daily life and atmosphere of Kathmandu.
Our room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The rooftop area was also a lovely place to unwind.
What really made our stay special, however, was the hospitality. Ashish and his team were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. Whether we needed local information, recommendations, or assistance with travel arrangements, nothing was ever too much trouble. Their genuine warmth and attentiveness made us feel valued as guests from the moment we arrived. Prabin was especially lovely and always greeted us with a smile.

Great rooms and wonderful location on a quiet street in Thamel. Close to shops and good restaurants. Spacious and clean rooms, good breakfast. Owners were helpful and kind when asked for recs in the area.
Great location, friendly staff, clean and love that the shower is separate so water doesn’t go all over the bathroom.
Would love if more hotels had a large purified water refill station instead of providing individual bottles of water. The less plastic the better.

Beautiful boutique hotel in the back streets of KTM. Surprisingly quiet area and only 2 minutes walk from the hustle. I was kindly upgraded for my stay and the room was huge, lush and comfortable.
Staff were super friendly.
Breakfast served was amazing. Hit the spot.
Luggage storage was also offered and this helped so much.
If you need any advice on trekking, restaurants, cafes all you had to do was ask.

The property was incredibly beautiful, located on a side street but still close to everything in Thamel that you might need. And it was very quiet. I requested a high floor, and they gave me an amazing room on the highest floor. The staff was incredible. So friendly, helpful, accommodating, and made it a great experience.
