Great place to stay after doing the paparoa track
We received a very warm welcome from staff member Esta. We spent one night here mainly to view Pancake Rocks and blowhole, also the Truman track. Wifi good, everything provided.
We had an issue with our booking through Booking.com, but management were exceptional and accommodating. Very professionally managed.

Sandflies
Ok location.
Thick layer of dust and cobwebs on the lamps overhanging the bed. And dead sandflies all over walls and ceiling in the bathroom. Don't get me wrong - a dead sandfly is better than a live one, but it's not like they were stuck hard. They were easily removed with a cloth. The place didn't feel very clean. Sheets and bed ok though, but would look for another place to stay if we returned to the area.

The room was tiny. The breakfast was great. The beach terrific.
It’s a short 20 minute walk to the blow holes and pancake stacks. Staff were nice. It had laundry facilities available.
This was like a backpackers motel, but they charged the price of a regular fully equipped motel room. It was small and cramped. You had to unplug the kettle if you wanted to use the microwave. There was no blow dryer.
Great location to access trails, pancake rocks and beach. Terrific food & drinks at the hotel on site.
Flyscreen in back room was filthy.
