My Happy Place West Avenue Suites

Woke up after one night here in West Avenue Suites to find bed bugs bite on my arm and back! I just came from the UK and I’m here for a quarantine for 5 days. I know I’m here for quarantine but why is the room not well cleaned?? As of the moment, I’m waiting for the staff to let me know I can move to another room. If there’s none available, I’ll book another hotel to stay into. This is so disgusting.

I didn't expect much when I booked this hotel for 2 nights. We were blessed to be given good accommodations - clean room with good running AC, clean linens and the bathroom pristine. The bed was comfy too! Only downside was the internet was slow.

There was also parking available during our stay. It's close to Starbucks, Jollibee, SM North Edsa, Ayala Trinoma and EDSA main thoroughfare.

Won't mind staying again if the need arises.

I stayed in the west avenue suites from the 28th of February 2020 to March 3rd 2020 and the room space was comfortable. The sleep quality was good. The complementary breakfast and the hospitality were fine too. The caution deposit, which they initially demanded in pesos were accepted in Dollars after request. The location is also prime with access to SM North EDSA, MRT- Quezon avenue and a lot of restaurants and shopping. I stayed in the 11th floor and the pent house where the breakfast was served was in the 19th floor.

I didn’t pick this hotel. I stayed here with family members (we had a rooms blocked) for a wedding as requested by the bride and groom, and its close proximity to the church. The room I had was not completely cleaned. There was garbage in the bathroom and cockroaches crawling out of the garbage can and floor. I called reception to complain, and was told that they will someone spray the room. Maintenance came to spray the entire room but I had to leave because of the toxic chemicals. An hour later I came back, the room still smells with the spray and now more cockroaches went crawling on the floor and night table beside the bed. I called reception to get another room but there were no other rooms available. I ended up staying in my sisters’s room and slept horribly wondering if any cockroaches would also crawl out in her room (did so, in the shower). Horrible stay! The only thing good about the hotel is the staff, in my opinion. They should fumigate all the rooms.

When I arrived in the room, the pillows were dirty and no pillowcase. The sheets were dirty as well. There were stains and yet they still allowed me to take the room so I requested to change the pillows and the sheets. On the second day, I asked to make up the room. They didn't change the towels. Housekeeping even saw me and said that they haven't changed and will change in an hour. Never came and change the towels.

Stayed here due to overtime work and I needed to get some quick rest. The Hotel is walking distance from SM North Edsa. There is an inclusive restaurant and bar. There is a spa service too.There is a 24 hour McDonalds and 7 Eleven which is also closer.

NOTE: I know this is RedDoorz and they have bathroom kits but make sure to check if it includes soap as when I checked in, it doesn't have any soap. I need to wait for the front desk to communicate with the housekeeping to hand me soaps.

I was looking for an average-priced in the area & I settled for this one. I wasn't expecting much & I wasn't disappointed. It was centrally located, everything is accessible. Very close to SM North Edsa, about a 10-minute walk. Restaurants, bars, convenience stores, & whatnots are aplenty in the area. Will, definitely, stay there again.

I was very disappointed!!! This is the only hotel that i have stayed in wherein they only do "make-up of room" after your third day!!! As in!!! I really cannot understand it. I think a little folding of the bed sheets, sweeping of the floor and mopping of the bathroom floor is standard to ensure neatness and cleanliness of the room..indeed...i will not recommend this hotel.

I met stained sheets on the bed. I asked for them to be changed. Although the front desk assured me that someone would come to assist no-one ever came. I also met a full garbage bin in the cabinet under the dresser. Cleaning service did not take place everyday and when the sheets were finally changed they were replaced with another stained set..The bathrooms were not clean and there were no bath mats. The sheets were thin and there were no blankets. Probably my worst hotel experience ever. ...And I almost forgot, the Wi-Fi service was very unreliable.

I just asked for 2 bottles of water. I called the front desk twice. I got it the next day after my 3rd call.

The rest of the staff do not know how to greet the guests. They will just stare at you with a blank face.

Our room was not clean, the tables were very dusty. The refrigerator even had left over food in it.

I was not expecting much when we book this hotel but I really enjoyed our stay because beds are comfortable, water heater is controlled at tolerable temperature (no fear that my kids might scald themselves if left unattended inside the shower) and continental breakfast was huge serving.

They allow fast food delivery even they have restaurant and cafe on site. A lot of nearby restaurant, very accessible to mall (Trinoma and SM North), Ace Water Spa and Wensha.

-They did not served our food in a timely manner and order is incomplete despite many followups
-Fumes from cooking during bfast at the pengjouse will stick with your clothes
-They did not cleaned our room even if we handed over the card in the reception before we left. Then when we came back and learned they didnt clean our room. We called them and no one still came.

The room is nice. Somehow reminds me of our Condo unit in Avida. We stayed here for 2 days in preparation before going to my cousin's wedding.

Thy had free breakfast at the penthouse. But good thing we didn't shower yet in the morning. Because the fumes from the cooking are all over the place. When we left I still smell the fumes in my clothes.

Me and my tita availed the bangus bfast meal. They only gave 1 order and they didnt include the egg and no vinegar served. Even my pineaple juice didn't come. We had to follow up three times before they served the juice, the missing egg and the other bangus order. It's like they were not paying attention to needs of customers when in fact there were like only around 10 people in the penthouse.

In short Room and Food is good but their employees are incompetent providing service. Will never come back here again because of that reason.

Contemporary, decent, all-the-basic accomodation plus a secured parking (if you're lucky!)
The only downside was the upfront deposit of P1500 & the miscommunication of the front desk & kitchen on where the venue of the breakfast would be!

We were not able to use the towels provided as they were dirty. The bathroom was dirty. It felt unsafe. The staff were not very professional. We had to take our own bags to the room from the lobby. We won't book this again.

Had to do some work over the weekend and thought about checking in at a nearby hotel.

Their hotel rooms are spacious, good wifi connection, cones with basic amenities.

Their bfast is good, and i loved their longganisa.

Starbucks and ramen cool is just across the street and nearby malls are just about 5mins Drive away. Jeepneys are also available.

Id say the stay was okay, though the staff needs more training.

The place is promising if well managed and marketed.

This property is in a good location, just 15-min walk from SM North. It's very easy to hail a cab or a jeep. The beds are great, comfortable and makes you rest at night. If lucky, you may get a beautiful view of Quezon City and Manila from your window. The rooms do not come with breakfast, however there is a cafe at ground level and they serve breakfast.

Housekeeping though needs training especially in doing the toilet and bath. The hotel for some reason do not keep a rubbish bin in the room, except a small one in the toilet which makes it quite inconvenient because you would have to go out of your room and throw your rubbish in the bin near the lift.

Don't forget to pay a visit to their penthouse cafe, the view is terrific!

There are lots cockroaches in the hotel. Garbages are everywhere at the corridor. The basement parking smells so bad. The noise from the corridor can be heard inside the room. Restaurant service are very slow.
We booked for two nights and requested to clean up the room when we went out for dinner. And when we get back. The room looks clean but they forgot to throw the garbages from our room, no bathroom mat,no water bottle refill. And i have to chase a cockroach to kill it.

We tried to book for a massage but theres only one massuer. We waited for a call if there are other massuer who will go for work. Sadly, no one arrived and the only massuer is now book for another guest.

The aircondition is positioned on the head part and it only sway up and down no left and right.

The gym is very spacious with lots of machine.

We are about to check out on our room and notice the corridor are flooded with water from another room.

The lobby is so dark and with lots of used items for sale.

The rate is affordable but we are not going back.

We booked 3 rooms (1 family, 1 twin, 1 studio) for 2 days. I personally stayed in the family room (unit 709) with my family. here are the list of bad things we've seen / experienced in our room:

* there were lots of baby cockroaches
* there were lots of insect larvae (not sure if it's of spiders) hanging on ceiling corners
* bidet pressure is so strong and you won't know how to adjust
* water is dripping from the exhaust and will drop right at you because it's directly above the toilet bowl
* it smelled like stinky feet the moment we entered the room (we suspect it's the couch)
* the balcony door's lock seems broken
* there's an executive chair but it's damaged
* we had trouble with the wifi connection (it says no more connection available) and had to call frontdesk 3-4 times before they gave us new login and password details

The hotel is fairly new but I hope they step up the game when it comes to house keeping

i had a good stay at the west avenue suites, the studio suite room that i stayed in was spacious and had a big dining table. i especially recommend this new hotel for its very cool aircon and its first class king size bed. there's live band playing daily at the 18th floor bar, would definitely come back to this new hotel

JAMES CAFE ( OCT. 26-27, 2017)

This is the Hotel to stay at Lovely staff and great location. The complimentary breakfast which is served at the penthouse was delicious. We stayed in a studio twin room , the room have been confortable and immaculate. We especially enjoyed the special bar drinks.The bar area and lobby were nice and open , good place to relax and meet friends. They also have a FREE GYM for hotel guest. Thanks for doing such an outstanding job to make the stay so pleasant. we will definitely come back again.
