Aproape perfect!
Pros:

Locatia a mentinut aerul istoric al cetatii, un loc ce ne-a mers la suflet.

Cons:

Lipsa parcarii pana la ora 16 este un minus enorm.
Sa astepti sa plece angajatii statului (Consiliul Judetean) ca sa poti parca pe locul hotelului denota lipsa de respect pentru turisti din partea acestor angajati.

Das Hotel liegt in einem historischen Gebäude der Festungsstadt, also vom Gebäude her etwas ganz besonderes. Sehr gute Lage unmittelbar vor der historischen Innenstadt. Parkplätze vor der Tür (begrenzte Anzahl).

Cons:

Die ausgewiesenen fünf Sterne können meiner Ansicht nach keiner internationalen Klassifikation zu Grunde liegen. Wenn man von einem Qualitätsstandard eines 3-Sterne-Hotels ausgeht, wird man eher positiv überrascht sein. Das Frühstück ist in der Nebensaison eher eine Enttäuschung (Mai/Juni); es gibt nur eine sehr reduzierte Form: Heißgetränke und ein paar Kleinigkeiten und einen Toast mit Spiegelei aus der Küche. Die Mansardenzimmer im obersten Stock im Sommer eher meiden, da nur eine sehr laute und wenig effiziente Klimaanlage zur Verfügung steht.

Un lieu exceptionnel, le bâtiment est magnifiquement rénové. On est en plein centre de l'histoire. La court est superbe. Le personnel au top. Un vrai plaisir :)

The interior design and exterior architecture are executed at the highest level—elegant, harmonious, and worthy of nothing but superlatives. From the white tablecloths to the red carpets, from the ornaments to the panoramic views, every element contributes to the feeling that you are a distinguished guest of the 16th–18th century.

The rich breakfast, the restaurant, the spotless cleaning, and the overall atmosphere all work together to create a sense of privilege and timelessness. It is rare to find a place where modern comfort blends so seamlessly with historical authenticity.

I consider myself a well‑traveled person, and from that perspective I can confidently affirm that this hotel is one of the most unique and exceptional properties in the world. It is not just accommodation—it is an experience, a story, and a journey.

Five star hotel, four star reality
Pros:

Amazing location in the middle of the citadel. Friendly personnel and charming interior.

Cons:

When we arrived we did not have any WiFi. We had to ask the reception and they gave us a modem we had to install ourselves. The mini bar was turned off (we had to turn it on ourselves) and the shower was only handheld (and the H for hot provided cold water and the C for cold provided hot water - even the receptionist admitted it was very unlogical). The breakfast was also quite poor for a 5 star hotel. There was no milk, no yoghurt and a limited amount of beverage choices and bread spreads.
