Middels oki hotell, helt greit.
Pros:

Hotell som ikke ligger langt fra busstasjon/togstasjon. Noe langt å gå ned til elven osv. Ligger i stille strøk, gate. Betjening var middels, så ikke så mye til dem, men nok hyggelig - typisk rumensk storby hotell. Stor balkong som delte med andre rom. Helt greit sted. Frokost spiste ikke.

Cons:

Måtte fikse Air Con selv.

Outstanding service
Pros:

A last minute change allowed me to arrive six hours earlier than planned and as communicated with the hotel, shortly before 12 noon on a Sunday. Long before regular check-in hours. The small hotel was locked. No staff there at noon. I dialed the hotel's phone number, and five minutes later the owner arrived by car to check me in, and I was pampered with good additional service.
The hotel and the restaurant are well maintained. Very nice and clean room. Well equipped, including international TV channels. Super WiFi.
Breakfast was a la carte, starting at 7 a.m., a choice of five dishes, good and tasty, and so was the coffee. I very much enjoyed my stay.

Cons:

It's quite some distance to walk from the hotel to the more interesting locations of Galati. But I knew that in advance so I can't complain. Took me some time to figure out public transport options.

If you are late and arrive in the middle of night, no problem. They leave you keys of hotel and room in the box outside.

Cons:

Mattress could be softer and breakfast could be self-service.
