The setting is charming and the rooms spacious and comfortable. I was traveling with a multigenerational group that included some vegans and the breakfast had adequate options for all of us.
It's probably my fault for not realizing the hotel is located in a suburb, rather than the city of Chiang Rai. That undoubtedly contributes to the serenity of the setting, but after a long day of traveling, there was really only one dinner option within a reasonable walking distance.
Beautiful and peaceful place. Cozy hotel with great bathroom and very comfortable bed
Everything was perfect
This is beautiful property a little south of the main town area. The rooms were huge and neat and clean.
Staff was very friendly and nice
Loved the breakfast in the morning, good options and a great start to the day.
Garden like setting is nice.
A little far from the main town area, if you have a car, you should be fine.
A little bright at night in the room in case that is a problem.
Rooms are big and clean, nice balcony and huge beds. Staff are kind and friendly.
It’s far from anything. There really isn’t anything nearby and it’s about a 10 minute drive into chiang rai. Curtains also let in too much light and kept us awake in the morning. It’s also near a giant venue which was playing blasting music until 1am. Not sure how often that is though but for one of our nights we didn’t get much sleep.
This is a small boutique resort in typical Lanna-style with spacious rooms and beautiful interiors. I really enjoyed the quietness of the place, sitting in a courtyard shaded by trees in the cool mornings, sipping a cappuccino prepared by very hospitable people. Traveling with a little boy, it was also great to have a small garden where we could play football in late afternoons. The house cat, Moo Nom (=soft pig :o), became almost like our own friendly little pet.
The breakfast menu was limited, so don't expect too much or go have breakfast outside the resort at some of the many great breakfast and brunch places around town. The location feels a bit awkward, dark and isolated, although very near one of the central areas of Chiang Rai. The road approaching the resort is undergoing work and is bumpy and dusty. You definitely need your own transportation. The resort does not have a swimming pool or fitness, however it was a very comfortable base from which we made day trips.
I was apprehensive when reading some of the views but it turns out I had absolutely nothing to worry about. The room was larger than I expected and very clean. I don’t mind walking so wasn’t worried about the 30 minute walk into Chiang Rai centre. I did however, hire a scooter for my stay as I wanted to visit other places.
The garden area I walked through to get to my ground floor apartment was very pleasant and well tended to on a daily basis with benches all around if you wished to sit and enjoy the outside. I also noticed a small play area for younger children which consisted of plastic playground slides etc.
I had a small, private outdoor area so I could sit outside of my room which looked out to the rear of the property. The rear view wasn’t as nice as the front but the water tanks and things need to go somewhere on the property but I didn’t find them offensive. I appreciate you cannot please everyone but the comment about mosquitoes - really? You are in a tropical country so they are expected. The hotel had gone to the trouble of putting large opening windows, front and back for fresh air if you didn’t want the ceiling fan (which was great incidentally) or air conditioning. They also had a heavy duty mosquito screen so no insects could get in when opened.
The breakfast consisted of eggs cooked three ways and frankfurters but salad was available buffet style. Toast, coffee, orange juice and water were available and refilled if you wanted. The staff were all fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. I extended my stay as I had problems with flights but I certainly didn’t think about going elsewhere.
More variety on the breakfast menu but this is an observation and not a criticism as they were always cooked very well.
staff are nice
Not worthy. Do not believe the “ balcony “, it’s actually just a window, not a balcony. No any view from every room. No public place except a very small reception office which is also the dining area. It’s just a place to sleep, not a place to relax.
Clean large rooms with balcony on the 2nd floor, which is good during the rain, but in a big 201 room it becomes wet during the rain, in 202 it wasn’t because of the prolonged roof
I was just unlucky to have a snoring neighbor in the next room
And we got 2 twin beds first (we asked for 1 king which they gave us only the next day) in room 202 and for unknown reason they have door from this room to 203 and you can hear everything from that room, the snoring man was closer to me than my husband on the next bed at the same room
If you have quiet neighbors or don’t have it at all, you even wouldn’t notice the door
Everything was perfect !
Nothing
Family like atmosphere
Warm and friendly service
Quiet
The hotel is rather old.
No lift-I have knee problems now, so difficulty with go up and down the room.
