C & N Hotel Patong, Phuket

The reception

Leider hat die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des Personals an der Rezeption stark nachgelassen. Das für Thailand so typische Lächeln bekommt man hier nur sehr selten. Anfragen bezüglich Late Checkout, Zimmerwechsel oder gar auf ein mögliches (kostenpflichtiges) Upgrade wurden stets abgelehnt OHNE überhaupt im System nachzuschauen. Sobald die Zimmer bezahlt waren sank die Motivation der Damen an der Rezeption rapide. Das war die letzten Jahre definitiv besser im CN Hotel, hier sollte das Hotel sein Personal nochmal in Sachen Kundenfreundlichkeit schulen.
Dazu kommt leider auch noch dass neuerdings (war 2023 noch anders) direkt vor dem CN Hotel ein Parkplatz für Motorräder angelegt wurde. Das Hotel liegt eigentlich in einer relativ ruhigen Seitenstrasse. Durch die vor allem nachts ständig ein- und ausfahrenden Motorräder ist man permanent lautem Motorradlärm ausgesetzt. Ich empfand das (trotz Oropax) als sehr störend, die Schlafqualität leidet darunter leider sehr.

The room is facing Bangla Road and in particular one bar and the end of Bangla Road which was playing music incredibly loudly. This sounds briefing on the road was not sufficient and the noise kept me awake until 4:00 a.m. at 350 baht the breakfast is not good value

Our stay at C & N Hotel Patong began on a positive note, the housekeeping staff were excellent. The rooms were consistently clean, and the bed-making was done to a very high standard. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end.
Our final night turned into a deeply frustrating and unacceptable experience that completely ruined our overall stay.
The receptionist on duty displayed an appalling level of rudeness, indifference, and lack of professionalism. At a time when we genuinely needed assistance, late at night, in a foreign country, she showed absolutely no willingness to help. Her attitude was dismissive, hostile, and entirely inappropriate for someone working in hospitality. It felt as though we were being treated as an inconvenience rather than paying guests.
In an effort to resolve the situation properly, we went to the Patong Police Station. The police provided us with an official authorization letter requesting access to the hotel’s CCTV footage from the front area. Even with this formal documentation, the receptionist made no effort whatsoever to assist us. Instead, her only apparent goal was to get rid of us as quickly as possible, without addressing the issue.
What made the situation even more disappointing was witnessing how she treated her colleague. The security staff member showed far more professionalism, empathy, and basic human decency than she did. He genuinely tried to help us, remained respectful, and even went as far as apologising on her behalf, something that should never have been his responsibility. While he was trying to assist, the receptionist was raising her voice at him, which was both uncomfortable and completely unprofessional to witness.
We were then assured that the matter would be reviewed the following day using CCTV footage and that we would receive a message with an update. It has now been three days, and despite repeatedly reaching out via messages and texts, we have been completely ignored.
